My wife is taking Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen SOL APAP at 2 tsps every 4 hours. Is Vicodin 5/500 the equivalent to this and can she take the Vicodin instead? She just had the Gastric Bypass almost a week ago. ## Vicodin does contain the same active ingredients (Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen), so it all depends on what dosage she is currently taking. My script has changed under the new law. It's now Vicodin with 325 Acetaminophen. I've noticed that this new pill is giving me a headache. Only the Acetaminophen strength has changed.
