Does Lortab make a 10/325? My Doc changed my lortab 10/500 to norco10/325. Norco is a different medicine, making me really tired. everyone keeps saying its the same as Lortab. I STRONGLY disagree. help ## Hi, I'm on pain management & have taken Lortab then Norco for years. Norco is the same as Lortab with 325 mg of acetaminophen instead of 500 mg. My doctor changed mine as well due to the affects on the liver. I understand the hesitation. When he changed mine I wasn't thrilled either, but I'm a creature of habit & dislike change in routines. I'm uncomfortable when my generics are from another company & look different than I normally take. I promise, it's the same 10 mg of hydrocodone. Both Lortab & Norco contain the same active ingredients: acetaminop...

I've been approximately 10 years on hydrocodone acetaminophen 10-500. It now has been changed to Hydrocodone-acetaminophen 10-325 without any consultation. What would be the reason for the change and will it attack the pain the same? Thank you. Todd ## All prescription tylenol combinations medications had to reduce the amount of tylenol to no more than 325 mg in Jan 2014. The FDA has even taken action to withdraw the approval for prescription meds that have more than 325 mg tylenol. The decrease in tylenol may or may not make any difference to you. Some drs are telling their patients to add 1 regular strength tylenol to the prescription meds, if they need it. Just be sure to keep track of how much tylenol you take in a 24 hrs period and don't let it exceed 4,000 mg in a 24 hr pe...

I have 2 different prescriptions for after knee surgery. Which is stronger for pain? ## Hi, Louise! How are you feeling? Since the Acetaminophen augments the action of the Hydrocodone in these, they are both likely to be about the same, actually. Learn more Vicodin details here. One may work a bit better for you than the other, but there's no way to know that, unless you try them. How did you end up with 2 different prescriptions? ## Actually those 10/325 will be stronger. The 10 is the Vicodin and the 325 is the acetaminophen. I broke my arm 3 yrs ago and was already on 5/500 they gave me 10/325 and they were MUCH stronger to me than my normal 5/500. ## !0/325 10 is the hydrocodone. You could go to the grocery store for the tylenol that constitutes the 325

Does it cause itching in the following areas? sole of the feet and palms of the hands? ## I have the same issues of itching but notice it only when I take Baclofin (muscle relaxer) with it. My rheumatologist recently administered cortisone shots in my lumbar region and also prescribed Acetaminophen-Hydrocodone 500-5 tablets along with Tramadol ER 200mg for my ankylosing spondylitis. Should i wait until the weekend to start? ## The Tramadol is also an analgesic. Learn more Tramadol details here. And yes, I'd be very reluctant to start them at the same time as starting a new job, just to be on the safe side. I supposed you could try during your off hours, such as at night to see how they affect you, but you should be cautious, especially if you are sensitive to medications. which is stronger hydrocodone 7.5/500mg oxycodone-acetaminophen 5-325 ## About the same as oxycodone is about 1.5 times stronger than hydrocodone. ## Regarding the analgesic effect, using a dose conversion, they are actually equivalent. Thus, it would really be a matter of finding out which one is more effective for you, since not every medication works for everyone that tries it. Since these are both narcotics, there is a chance that they could be habit forming and you may experience side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. are Lortabs still in use? My pharmicist said they were no longer made. ## The FDA has asked dr to no longer prescribe it with 500 mg acetaminophen but instead to use the mandated reduced 325 mg acetaminophen. The FDA has also asked pharmacists to contact the drs if a rx is written for the 500 mg before filling it. The hydrocodone and acetaminophen (Lortab, Vicodin, Norco) are still made. But, the amount of acetaminophen has been reduced. ## So can you take a Tylenol to get the same results since they lowered it to 325? I'm so used to the 500 and it just isn't the same ## Talk to your dr first. The new recommendation from the FDA is not to exceed 3,000 mg of tylenol in a 24 hr period. ## It isn't that the FDA has asked them to no longer prescribe the higher amounts, they'...

My wife is taking Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen SOL APAP at 2 tsps every 4 hours. Is Vicodin 5/500 the equivalent to this and can she take the Vicodin instead? She just had the Gastric Bypass almost a week ago. ## Vicodin does contain the same active ingredients (Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen), so it all depends on what dosage she is currently taking. Another thing to consider is that there may be a reason why she was prescribed this medication in a syrup form instead of a tablet, especially that she had surgery related to the digistive system. Ultimately it would be advisable to check with her doctor before making any switches like that, especially with such a potent medication. Wishing her a speedy recovery! In the same prescription there are also some that have M 357 and both can be scored in the middle. How are you? Yes, as of the first of the year, they are only available with a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, just like the new one you are taking. The Acetaminophen tends to augment the action of the narcotic, that's why the new one doesn't seem to work as well for you. However, your body should adjust after a week or two. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, d...

I've found that i have to take twice as much of this medicie to get the same effect as the m357 hydrocodone, it's not the same ## The pill in description marked 3592 is Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone (5 mg). As for the other pill in description, marked M357, it has the same dosage that is Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (5 mg). It could be the bitartrate making the difference. I am not an MD so I cannot clarify that is the case. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... I have been changed to the same treatment, but cheaper medicine, the color is light blue. I went to another pharmacy and they told me the treatment colors vary (white). My question is, is there a difference between them and are any of them better than the other? ## Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a generic, one of the name brands for it would be Vicodin. The first one made me drowsy but I went to a different pharmacy for the other and it didn't have the same effect on me why is that? ## The information you've posted denotes them as both being the same, especially if the manufacturer was the same for both. I'm not sure why one would make you drowsy and one wouldn't, perhaps in between your body just got a bit more used to the narcotic ingredient, Hydrocodone. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. Side effects, such as the drowsiness, normally only last for a few weeks as your body is getting used to a medication, then they tend to taper off in severity, until they disappear entirely.
