I have been on Norco 10/325 for 7 years for chronic pain and disc problems. Needless to say they quit working. Dr just switched me to Percocet 10. This is to answer the question is there a higher dose form of norco the answer is yes it's called Zohydro it was made here in San Diego and has been approved by the Fda and Sea but it might be hard to find and the insurance company might not cover it, it's and extended version kinda like oxycontin for oxycodone and it comes in different doses. I had a tooth extraction yesterday, been taking I Norco 7.5-325 regularly since; took one pill an hour ago and the pain is still unbearable, can I take one more or even half a pill more? ## Hi Ryan, Generally with this type of drug the dosing instructions indicate that you should take 1 pill every 4-6 hours or so. I could be wrong, but I think this is mainly due to the concerns associated with Acetaminophen and liver toxicity. From my own personal experience, it should be fine to take a half a pill more, as they do make a stronger norco with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. I have a prescription for the yellow norco 10 325. I've taken these for years and now I can't get them. The white ones does not help. I have Arthritis very bad and I really need to know who still carries them in the Mansfield, Arlington, Texas area. Is Norco 10-325 as strong as Vicoden 10-660 for pain? ## The only difference is the Norco has 325 mgs Tylenol and the Vicodin 660 mgs.They both have the same amount of hydrocodone, 10 mgs. ## @Shep, BL is correct about the amount of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) in each medication. Therefore, the Vicodin would be stronger than the Norco. If your pain isn't severe, I personally recommend taking the Norco due to the fact that it contains less Tylenol (Acetaminophen).
