i have a severe back problem and go to a pain clinic for pain management. I use Qualitest Hydrocodone 10/500 (pink) for years for break through pain. I know they had to go to 10/325 but what I want to know is do they make the exact same pill except for the acetominaphen part. I have tried the white and I have tried the 10/500 Watson which is not blue but white and they just don't work. I just want the same makeup as the Qualitest that I have taken for years and even if the 2nd part is cut down I could add back a tylenol to it to get that 2nd part. I am not afraid of it I just need some pain relief and the pink ones did it for me and neither white or Watson white, they just don't work. Please help me and lead me in the right direction ## Hello, Louise! How are you? No, I'm so...

I'm allergic to codeine. Does it contain codeine? ## The active ingredients are exactly what you listed, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic. It is distantly related to codeine, so in some instances people that are allergic to one are allergic to the other, but that is very rare. Learn more Vicodin details here. Did you inform the doctor that you are allergic to Codeine? Does your pharmacy know, so they have it in your records?

I have been changed to the same treatment, but cheaper medicine, the color is light blue. I went to another pharmacy and they told me the treatment colors vary (white). My question is, is there a difference between them and are any of them better than the other? ## Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a generic, one of the name brands for it would be Vicodin. And when something is available as a generic, it's usually made by several different companies and there are no rules on how the tablets have to look, or what color they have to be. That's entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Learn more Vicodin details here. There is also no way to...

I am scheduled for a stress test and needed something to help me cope with knee pain while running. I was prescribed the above named medicine, will this affect my results? ## It shouldn't but be sure and tell your dr and the tech doing the test that you've taken it. Pain can increase your heart rate and raise your blood pressure, so they need to know about any pain, even if you take a pain med. ## A narcotic could also artificially lower your heart rate and blood pressure during the test, so the results may not be accurate. Yes, you need to make sure they know about it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been taking hydrocodone 10.500 for over 5 yrs. what are the side affects without them ## Hi reb, If you've been taking 10mg of Hydrocodone + 500mg of Acetaminophen for over five years, the withdrawal effects from suddenly stopping them would probably be very serious from what I understand. That said, if you do intend to come off them any time soon, it should be vitally important to discuss tapering plans with your doctor first and foremost. I don't have a specific list of actual side effects, but others on here who posted similar threads relating to opiate withdrawal may give you an idea of what to expect mentally, physically, and emotionally. I also believe that having a strong support group or spiritual foundation might make going through some of the mental and emotiona...
