Have been taking pain pills for past 10 years for back issues. New doctor had me on Morphine extended release and immediately release for 5 months then switched me to 15 mg Oxycodone for 5 weeks after surgery and was taking 15 mg every 6 hours, but last 2 weeks I took 1 every 4 hours. I had been on oxy before and I don't do well with it. Already addicted and wanted to get off it I asked for Hydrocodone. He gave me 10/325 taking every 4 hrs. My withdraws are bad and the pain is back. Nurse called back and said I can't take more than 1 every 4 hrs and to deal with it. What to do? I got myself off Oxycodone before over 3 months of cutting myself back. This is killing me. Please give me advice. Also was told to talk antihistamine and 4 ibuprofen each time. Seems so much other stuff ...

did they quite making hydrocod/apap10-500mg tab because they are not the same that they give me now they are call Norco 10-325mg tab and the ones I was taken was lortab what the differ in them please help me to no all about this the 10-500 help my back so much and now the don't help as much why. ## Hello, Jeannie! How are you? Yes, as of the first of the year, they are only available with a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, just like the new one you are taking. The Acetaminophen tends to augment the action of the narcotic, that's why the new one doesn't seem to work as well for you. However, your body should adjust after a week or two. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, d...

i take norco 10/325 and wonder is there a stronger hydrocodone pill such as 15/325 ## No, the maximum amount currently available on the market is 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The only way to get a higher dosage than that is if your doctor specially orders it and it is put together for you by a compounding pharmacy. Hydrocodone is a potent narcotic and is rarely given in higher doses. Usually, when someone isn't getting the pain relief they need from it, they move on to something else, such as Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. It is still a narcotic and can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## Try not to go up to percet. I went to percet 10/325 from norco 10/325. They take over...

What is the difference between Hydrocodone/apap 10mg/500 and Hydrocodone/apap 350/500, and Hydrocodone/apap 7.5/500? Could you explain the difference in these 3? ## There is no dosage available containing 350/500, that would be a very dangerous dosage of the Hydrocodone. The maximum dosage that is currently available in the U.S. contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Past that the doses are lower, 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone/ 325 Acetaminophen, and 5mgs of Hydrocodone with 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Which one has your doctor prescribed for you?

I have been prescribed Hydrocodone and would like to know how much I can safely take without worrying about an overdose. One pill is not touching the pain! ## In adults, the max dose of Hydrocodone is 60 mg/day or a max single dose of 15 mg. In children older than 12 years of age, the max dose of Hydrocodone is 45 mg/day or a max single dose of 10 mg. The usual adult dose is 2.5 to 7.5 mg of Hydrocodone every 4 to 6 hours. Editor's note: This refers to Hydrocodone by itself, not when taken in combination with other ingredients such as Acetaminophen. ## It really depends on how long you've been on it. Most patients can take 1-2 Hydrocodone every 6 hours as needed for pain. If it's 7.5/325 then you can safely take two but what other medications are you on? How much Tylenol is ...

How many Norco 10/325 mg would give you 1100 ng/mL? ## From what I could gather, clinical trials note that: "Following a 10 mg oral dose of hydrocodone administered to five adult male subjects, the mean peak concentration was 23.6 ± 5.2 ng/mL. Maximum serum levels were achieved at 1.3 ± 0.3 hours and the half-life was determined to be 3.8 ± 0.3 hours." Unless I'm reading this wrong (which I may be, as I am trying to understand this conversion as well), 1100 ng/mL seems like a very high dose for toxicity. Do you have this medication in both tablet and liquid form? You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone I hope this helps! If anyone else can enlighten us with a bit more information that would be great! ## ...

Blue and white capsule imprint watson on one side 3220 on the other supposed to be 30 mg hydrocodone ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? There is no manufactured 30mg Hydrocodone available in the U.S., it is only available combined with Acetaminophen and the tablets that are available only have a maximum of 10mgs of the Hydrocodone. Other doses are available by a compounding pharmacy, if a doctor specially orders them, but they would not have an imprint such as this on the capsules. That said, the white and blue capsule with this marking contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen, 50mgs of Butalbital, 40mgs of Caffeine and 30mgs of Codeine, it is most commonly used to treat migraines and tension headaches. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there an...

Is lortab 10 / 325 weaker than lortab 10 / 500 ## Hello, Jim! How are you? Yes and no, the amount of Acetaminophen in it is lower and the ones with the higher doses are no longer available. This medication was changed and all formulations that are now available can only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose. However, the Acetaminophen augments the action of the narcotic for some people, so the one with the higher amount of it may work better for them, but it doesn't work that way for everyone, so for some people these might basically be equivalent, since they both contain 10mgs of the Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, d...

How much of the red liquid hyrdrocodone 325\5 mg would equal to three 1,000s norcos? ## Each teaspoons equals hydrocodone 5 mg /acetaminaphen 325 mg. ## Hello, Ashley! How are you? What BL has stated is correct, unless the label specifies otherwise. As to the Norco you mentioned, there is no Norco available that contains 1,000mgs of anything. The maximum dosage currently available on the market contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Norco was actually the name brand for a lower dose of this analgesic combination, so if you were taking it, then you were most likely taking 5/325mgs. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...

I have a question about my medication prescription, my dr had me on 240 10/325 generic Norco (hydrocodone) a month (1-2 every 4-6 hours max dose of 8) he recently needed to bump up the quantity to 270 (9 a day) but apparently my insurance only covers 240 a month. I was wondering if it was possible that the dr could write me the script for the 270 and the pharmacist charge my insurance for 240 of the prescription and charge me for the other 30 or if it all has to be charged to either insurance or me. I live in NY state, any info would be greatly appreciated! ## No, I don't think that will help. There is actually a limit on how much your pharmacy can give you each month and it doesn't matter if your doctor writes the prescription for more. There are government regulations that dic...

what is lortab 80mg ## Hello, Soya! How are you? There is no 80mg Lortab. Lortab contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, the maximum dose currently available contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and 325mgs of the Acetaminophen. RAN OUT OF HYDROCOAPAP TAB 10-325MG, BUT HAVE TRAMADOL 50 MG, CAN I SUBSTITUTE?? ## Have you consulted your doctor? The Hydrocodone is a potent narcotic and the Tramadol is very mild, though it is distantly related, so you aren't likely to get the same effective pain relief that you do from the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen tablet. ## If you are worried about your withdrawls, then yes you can. The max dose in 24 hours is 400mg. That's 8 pills. I did the same thing and took 200mg in the morning and 150 at night just to be safe. It will hold back the withdrawls and you will sleep comfortably. However, because its not an opiate, they will not "F" you up. You will not get HIGH from these. They do however trap seratonin for longer periods of time in your brain which for most peop...

I've been on muscle relaxers for about 7 years, due to a neck fracture injury ending in a surgut oval nonfusion. I have chaotic pain that my pain Doctor treats with 10/325 Hyrdroco/APAP. Limit of six per day. Some days I take the maximum some days I don't depending on my activities. He substitutes my hydrocodone done with Baclofen 10 mg. his prescription says take one to two tablets by mouth three times daily as needed for muscle spasms. I rarely ever take the maximum dose. We first started out with Flexeril that worked for a little while but I needed something more. I was having severe muscle spasm's that felt like my muscles in my shoulderswere drawing up into my ears. This caused excruciating headaches. So he put me on a stronger muscle relaxer back to the van and we talk...

Why did they stop making 7.5 loritab ## Hello, Ronnie! How are you? It seems there are many misunderstandings about this occurring, but I'm happy to clear this up for you. The medications with the various doses of Hydrocodone, such as 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg are still available, it is just the ones with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen in them that are no longer being manufactured. From now on they will all only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Norco details here. Thus, for you to continue taking it, your doctor has to prescribe a different one with the lower amount of Acetaminophen, I...

Does anyone know if watson 385 is 10 mg Lortab ## Watson 385 is actually a generic Lortab - Acetaminophen 500 mg + Hydrocodone 7.5 mg ## watson 385 is a lortab 7.5 ## This provide identifications are correct, this is a 7.5/500mg generic for Lortab. Learn more Lortab details here. Since this is a narcotic analgesic, it may be habit forming and might cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Additionally, as of now the FDA has requested that the amount of Acetaminophen in all these combined medications be lower to a maximum of 325mgs, since high doses of it taken long-term may cause liver damage/failure and overdose can be fatally toxic. I have both M360 and Watson 853 pills. I'm not exactly sure if the are the same of if one is stronger. ## The tablet marked M360 contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 750mgs of Acetaminophen and the tablet marked Watson 853 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. These are both different strengths of the active ingredients in Vicodin, or Lortab, which are narcotic pain relievers. Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. My boyfriends tooth was hurting really bad, so my mom had some v3601, he took 2 of them and he felt drunk all last night. Now this morning he feels sick to his stomach, vision blury and headache. How long will this last. Do I need to take him to the ER?? What can I give him for it to wear off???? I dont know what to do??? ## V 36 01 is generic Acetaminophen (325mg) + Hydrocodone (10mg). Two of these was probably over doing it by a lot. And since 10mgs is the max dose of Hydrocodone on the market, I can see how 20mgs would make anyone feel that way. This drug generally stays in your system for up to a few days at a time. So if your bf is having a bad reaction to it now, it should begin to subside by the following day. It'll likely be a few days before he's feeling 100% again. Dur...
