That said, this tablet contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone, a generic for Vicodin or Lortab. This is a narcotic pain reliever. There is a yellow capsule of vicodin, and I saw no mg on it. All other Vicodin I have seen are white. Vicodin is available in a maximum dosage of 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and 750mgs of the Acetaminophen. Second, the color means nothing, that is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Third, they do not have to have the dosage on the tablet, just a unique imprint to enable its identification, in case of emergency. Thus, it is the imprint that tells us what it is. The tablets with the WATSON 540 marking contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. There is a generic hydrocodone with 650mg acetaminophen, usually green. I familiar with 5mg, 7.5, 10mg hydrocodone and the amount of acetaminophen gives the medication it's name in this case.
