My bottle says Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg and Mfg: West Ward, but the pills are peach color with 4 0 on one side and 1011 on the other side. Is this a correct fill? ## NO! You should return to the pharmacy and report this immediately. The tablet marked 1011 40 contains 40mgs of Citalopram, which is an antidepressant. I'm taking Hydrochlorothiazide for water retention due to a side effect from high estrogen levels in my birth control. I take 25 mg every morning, and haven't been able to sleep at all in the past three nights. I've looked it up online and haven't found anywhere saying that it causes loss of sleep. If I'm prescribed both pills, do I have to take them together? What if I only take the Losartan without the Hydrochlorothiazide? ## You should take them both, as prescribed. They are often used together to help lower high blood pressure and to treat some cardiac conditions. Taking just the Losartan may lower it some, but not as much as taking both. Am allergic to Blue #2 which is found in Mylan's Triamterene HCTZ. A pharmacy error caused me to miss 21 doses of hydrochlorothiazide (25 mg once daily). Can I expect side effects now that I have started taking it again? ## Yes, it is possible that you might. I am taking hydrochlorothiazide 25mg once a day along with Losartan, also 25 mg. Should I take these together at the same time or should I take them at different times of the day for the best effect? I have been taking hydrochlorothiazide for 2 weeks now, and this past week my kidneys have hurt badly and it hurts in my kidneys when I urinate. Is this typical of this med?
