out of atenolol, my dr will not return til next Wednesday, can I take Hydrochlorot 12.5 mg? ## They are not interchangeable medications, since the Atenolol is a beta blocker and the Hudrochlorothiazide is a diuretic. I used to take 12.5mg capsules but now I am given a real smal peach pill manufactured by Heritage (who I have never heard of) I do not feel safe taking taking this pill. I have 488 DPI and also GG 606 and want to know what they are ## DPI 488 This contains Hydrochlorothiazide 25mgs and Triamterene 37.5mgs, a generic for Dyazide.
