What is the difference between Oxycodone and Hydrocodone? ## Hi Natalie, Both Oxycodone and Hydrocodone are narcotic pain relievers that are similar in structure; however, the effects of Oxycodone are reported to be much stronger than Hydrocodone. One other thing to consider though, is that everyone reacts/responds differently to each medication despite their potency. So in my opinion it's really important to work closely with your doctor upon determining which drug may be best suited for you and your condition - not just based on strength alone, but also personal preference according to how they affect you. I hope this helps!

I've been taking Watson 5-325 hydrocodone from Walgreens for years for back pain. I am disabled, have scoliosis and two bad car accidents caused the need. 3 months ago Walgreens changed to this new Actavis brand. It isn't working! Until I read this, I thought I would have to increase my dosage. Also for the past 3 months I've had sore throat and pain in sinuses and ears. I thought I had overdone my Flonase and have gone through 2 rounds of antibiotics without relief. When I read about the mother's ears ringing and nausea, I put this together. Thank you so much! I scheduled another appointment today for next week about this. Hopefully a new scrip will solve both issues. I went to CVS today and found out they have qualitest brand hydrocodone. ## @Brat Cat, You're defin...
