I have been on losartan 25mg for 3 weeks. BP well controlled at 125/70. Getting dizziness and weakness in legs. Are these side effects going to gradually improve and how long will it take? ## Hello, Paul! How are you? Has there been any change? It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks for such side effects to improve, as reported by the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache and increased urination. If they don't improve in that time frame, you should consult your doctor as you may need to try a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am taking bisoprolol(concor1.25) for MVP. and eltroxin 25 mcg for hypothyroid disorder ..how long I can continue with this medicine. ## You should continue them for as long as your doctor deems them appropriate to treat your conditions. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, weight changes, hypotension, and hair loss. There may come a time, when your body gets used to them, so they stop working, as well, and if so, you may need a dosage adjustment, or switch to alternative medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

So I'm going on a trip in 8 days (May 31st) and I really don't want to be on my period during it. I'm suppose to get my period in 5 days. I just got birth control pills for the first time today. If I start taking the pills now even though I don't have my period yet, will that postpone my period until after my trip (I come home on June 6th)? Please help!! ## Hi Jenna! I understand your concern, but there's really no way to say for sure. There's a chance that it could work to delay your period, but when you're adding these synthetic hormones to your body, there are no guarantees, because they could have the opposite effect and cause you to spot with breakthrough bleeding, or to start early. I really wish I had a better answer for you, but I don't. There'...

My prevention measures is condomising but now I got a bad vaginal smell. Dr. Prescribed metazol 400mg. I want to know what could be the cause of the smell and how long does it take for the metazol to be effective. ## Usually, such an odor is due to a vaginal bacterial infection, which can occur whether or not you use a condom. It usually takes about 3 to 4 days, before you will start to see improvement, when taking this medication. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was perscribed nasonex about a month ago. About a week after taking it I got really ill with flu luke symptoms. Atfer the aches and pains in the body went away ive been left with dizziness and bad headaches. I stopped taking it a week ago and still have these symptoms. I also had the odd spell of blurry vision but haven't had that since I stopped taking it. I want to know how long my head is going to feel scrambled like this. Its very fustrating, my doctor never warned me about any side effects. Ive been learning to drive and got all these problems just before the test and felt awful on the day. I failed on one silly mistake, which possibly wouldn't have happened if I had a clear head. Basically nasonex has ruined me and stopped me being interested in my hobbies. When will I f...

My husband has been using AndroGel and I've been in contact with it. I'm 47 and I've noticed that some of my body hair has increased and is darker and there's more of it. This seems to be the only side effect. He's been careful as far as washing but obviously it's gotten onto my skin. I haven't noticed any other problems. Is this dangerous? ## Hello, Rachel! How are you doing? The biggest concern would be if you were intending to get pregnant, or are pregnant, because it can affect fertility and the baby. However, as to just you, it's not dangerous in the respect that it puts your life in danger….but it can screw up your natural hormonal balance, which is evidenced by your hair growth, so you may also end up finding yourself feeling more irritable a...

I have been taking Chantix for 4 days in a row and I feel horrible!!! how soon will this be out of my system?? ## Hello, Jodi! How are you doing? If you only took it for 4 days, it shouldn't take long for the side effects to wear off, a few days at most. What types of side effects did you experience? The most common ones are nausea, insomnia and abnormal dreams. ## It takes about 2 weeks for your system to acclimate to chantix. If you don't feel your side effects subsiding by then and you want to stop using it. You need to wean yourself off over a 2 weeks period. Or you will experience more side effects. Chantix is Bupropion which is Wellbutrin. Just so you know. Good luck and I hope it works out for you.

My mother is in her third month of taking Namenda. She is wanting to sleep all the time. She is one that was an early riser and early to bed, but now she gets up whenever I call to check on her. I go over during the day and she's usually asleep. This has been going on for about 4 or 5 weeks. Namenda is her only medication. Could this be the reason for her wanting to sleep? ## One of the side effects of Namenda is drowsiness. Perhaps your mother is more susceptible to this particular side effect. I suggest that you contact her physician to let him know about her sleep habits and ask if perhaps he needs to adjust the dosage, or if this drug may not be appropriate for her. By the way, other side affects include the following: confusion, dizziness, headache, insomnia, agitation, and/or ...

My husband is taking the following medications: Olmetec 40mg + Zanidip 10mg + Plavix 75mg + Lasix 40mg + Cartia aspirin 100mg; 1 each morning. He is also taking: 2 Panadol Osteo 5mg x 3 times daily + 1 Pregabalin 25mg + 1 Vytorin 10/40mg at night. All prescribed by his GP. He had a triple bypass in 2014; stents 1 in Feb, 2 in Nov 2016; Radical prostectomy for cancer in 2006; Radiation for secondary cancers in 2009; Neurosurgery for a subdural hemorrhage in 2013. He has had breathing problems and used inhalers off and on for 4 years (is now off these). He does have asbestos fibers in his lungs, but thankfully no major problems there. But he is having problems with tiredness throughout the day and is constantly sleeping. Is this due to the mixture of drugs he is on now?

What are the most common side effects of Omez tablets? ## Some of the most common side effects of Omez, also known as Omeprazole (experienced by over 1% of those taking the drug) are headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness, trouble awakening and sleep deprivation. Research I have gathered from clinical trials shows that the incidence of these effects with Omeprazole was mostly comparable to that found with placebo. That said, you shouldn't have to worry much about the side effects of this drug when taken as prescribed. ## Is there any possibility of heart disease being related to Omeprazole? ## I was unable to locate any side effect of Omeprazole that is associated with heart disease. I am taking Levothyroxine 88 mcg for about 7 yrs., pravastatin 20 MG for about 5gabapenton 300 mg )now off that) since 2011, and more recently Clonzazeoam .5 mg (about 10 moths) and fluoxetine 10 mg for about 7 months. I have a Doberman rescue that is in severe pain due to a bone lesion from a injury from abuse, although it could possible be cancer, but the specialist thinks otherwise. We put a 100 mec/hour patch on yesterday at 2:00 pm. This is his first patch, and he is still in pain 30 hrs later. It has made no difference. He will have to be put to sleep if this is not working, as this was our last hope. He weighs 72.3 lbs and we placed the patch on the shaven neck area. We put superglue around borders because they do not stick well to animals. How long does it take for a dog to feel the effects? We want to give it a chance, but do not want him to suffer . I've been taking Metanx for 6 days now; the pain in my feet has decreased but now I have tingling in both legs and at night I have some minor tingling in my torso and face. Does anyone know how long this type of side effect lasts? ## Hello, Niecy! How are you? Metanx is just considered a medical food, because it's a supplement that contains nutrients known to support nerve health. Thus, it doesn't actually alleviate pain or cause side effects, so to speak. The tingling may just be due to the nutrients improving the circulation in your body, but you should have it checked out, just in case. Is there anything else I can help with?

Tramadol is a very mild opiate, you could not safely take enough of it to equal the dosage you were taking of Methadone.
