In the year 2000 my friend suggested me to use Practine and Dexona for gaining weight. I did the same. I found my face is becoming big and people are telling that I am gaining weight. I used it for One month. After three to four months I felt uneazyness in my upper abdomen while sitting. I just took it carelessly. Day by day it increased. In 2004 I visited Doctor, but I was advised to loose weight. But it didn't decrease, rather day by day now in last of 2010 I was bound visit MD and Gastro. In USG the result is Mild Hepatemology. i donot like to eat food. when i eat food or anything vomit comes. i used to take apet tablet and dexona in order to increase the hunger.i became fat also after using that medicine i liked to eat food at any time. but now i m in USA and now a days i do not have that medicine . so where shall i get these medicine here in USA with out doctor prescription. ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. I have taken dexona and ciplactin for about 2 years (2 tabs daily). But due to its side effects, like stretch marks and blurry vision, I stopped taking it. After stopping treatment, I am now losing my weight day by day and I have lost my hunger as well. So i started taking cypon syrup for about 3 months. Somehow it maintained my hunger but when I stopped taking it again I suffered from the same thing and lost my hunger. So please tell me what is the side effect of it. ## Withdrawal symptoms are probably going to be very different for everyone, so I can only speak based on gathered research: There have been reported cases of psychotic syndrome after withdrawal of Cyproheptadine (Ciplactin), so I would suggest tapering off this one as opposed to just stopping it completely after all those years. I would also strongly recommend taking your time tapering off of Dexamethasone (Dexona) or you could have some very unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.
