My 4 month old baby has diarrhea. The pediatrician has prescribed to take Erceflora 1 vial. What does that mean? Is this the whole vial at once? ## Hi Maine, sorry to hear about that, I know how nerve wracking it can be when a child at that young of an age has diarrhea. To answer your question, each vial should be a 5ml suspension. If that is the case then I am seeing a standard dose of 1-2 vials every 3-4 hours mixed in with another liquid such as milk, formula, or water. If you are still breastfeeding your baby you can mix it in with expelled breast milk. So yeah, 1 whole vial per dose is what is indicated. Is that in line with the doctor's instructions? We have not encountered any reaction worse than these. Our recommendation is to give supportive treatment to the patient (antipyretic for fever, rest, etc) while continuing to observe him for any other possible reactions. But, what I am finding said the suggested adult dosing is 2-3 vials of the 5billion/5ml suspension. and 1-2 vials of the same for children 2 to 11 years old. I was hospitalized for 3 days (Aug. 28th-31st) due to gastro/diarrhea. In the hospital the doctor gave me the following: 1. Seven vials of Erceflora 2. Three (100ml) vials of Levofloxacin 500mg 3. Four tabs of (40mg) Omeprazole. Because I felt itchiness on Levofloxacin, the doctor gave me 2 (500mg) tabs of Metronidazole. For home medication the doctor prescripted the following: 1. Metronidazole - 3x5 days = 15 2. Omeprazole - 1x5 days = 5 3. Erceflora - 3x3 days = 9 I feel dizzy, sometimes vomiting. I don't feel normal just yet. I already consumed the following take-home medications: 1. Metronidazole - 10 (5 left) 2. Omeprazole - 3 (2 left) 3. Erceflora - 5 (4 left) Can I stop or discontinue taking the medicine? Please help!
