How To Stop Taking Subutex

Hi my name is Chloe. I have been on a script now for just over a year. was on methadone. But now am on subutex. Im abit worried as you are meant to let subutex dissolve under your tongue. But I have never been able to do that as I gag and throw up. I crunch them with the front of my teeth and swallow very quickly with water. Can this cause me problems coming off subutex or cause me harm inside my tummy? I was on 6mg 3 tablets daily now im on 2mg 1 tablet daily. Also I keep having spouts of time where im sick every morning badly being sick. No explanation. And then im fine a wk or 2 then the vomiting again. This was my first time being on a script and H was never really my thing, so I do not ever use or take H, and stopping subutex is a must, but am so scared im gonna feel bad in the pro...

I was taking 4 hydrocodone a day and went down to 2 a day. Sunday morning I took a very small piece of a subutex. Again, this morning I don't feel well on it. I have a headache and dizziness. Can I safely stop it? I am addicted to hydrocodone. However, I never felt this bad on hydrocodone as I do on subutex. Can I go back to the hydrocodone tomorrow evening? ## You cannot take Subutex that soon after taking other opiates, or it can throw you into precipitated withdrawals, which might be what you are experiencing. Ready to stop taking loratabs ## Have you asked your doctor about using Subutex to get off the Lortab? Most pain management doctors should have a general understanding of what you need to safely get through the withdrawal phase of such medications. In the event that you can't get Subutex, I'd even consider cutting the Lortabs into smaller fractions so you can take a partial dose to help ween down and lessen your need for more addicting meds like Subutex. I only say that because I've been reading a number of posts stating how some people use Suboxone, Subutex, & Methadone to get off one med and they ironically end up getting addicted to those one's as a result of taking them for so long. Hi, I was prescribed 180mg of codeine phosphate for on-going back pain, BUT I decided to give subutex a go, as advised by a friend. However since taking subutex for just 7 weeks @ 10mg I absolutely hate them. I'm depressed & my anxiety has got worse :( Could going back on codeine help with stopping the awful subutex? I am almost 14 weeks pregnant. I want to stop taking my Suboxone completely, but have heard it can cause premature labor if stopped too far into pregnancy. My doctor also said that withdrawals can not cause miscarriage or hurt the unborn baby in any lasting ways. I have been taking 2mg of subutex (now Suboxone) for the past week. Been on burp. For a few weeks have detox to 1/4 every other day. Last Sunday w as s the last rtf time I took anything. It could be anywhere from a week to about a month, before you start to feel more normal. I took 30 mg of Methadone in the morning and an 8 mg Subutex in the afternoon. I don't feel sick. Am I supposed to? ## My DR started me on 10mg of methadone. couple of days later, my mouth was parcially numb and my taste was all messed up. I didnt even consider it to be the methadone. I thought it was something I ate. but then after a few more days, I figured it had to be the methadone. Has anyone else had methadone cause their inside moth to be numb or totally mess with their taste buds? I have been on subutex for 5 years as I have multiple sclerosis and it was prescribed for pain. I am into my 3rd day off of subutex and I feel terrible. I went to see my doctor this week and he told me that the FDA and the DEA had passed a new law for prescribing Subutex. As of July 1st 2015 Subutex can only be given to pregnant woman or to someone with documentation saying they can't take Suboxone. If you don't have that you will be put on Suboxone. ## They Are Both the same thing. Better yet, stop doing narcotics, get off opiates completely. I am praying someone can give me a little bit of advice on sebutex. I was on day 4-5 withdrawing from lortab, perc off and on for 2 years. Really want to stop so I got a 8mg sebutex from a friend and took 1/4 of it yesterday at 11 am and started projectile vomiting 2 hours later and it lasted all day. I'm wondering how much I should try this morning without it making me vomit again. I was on it 2years ago-3,4 a day and had to quit cold turkey with no taper bc my Dr hauled butt and I was in the hospital for a month. I took my last Oxycodone on Saturday. I've been taking 30 mg for 5 years. How long would withdrawals last if I take tiny pieces of 8 mg Suboxone? How long will I need to do this so that I don't get sick? Thanks ## I have a great deal of experience with induction phase of subs. If you are on Subutex you can start as soon as you feel a little sick. But make sure you have gone at least 24 to 36 hours. Since there is no Naloxone in Subutex it is not like subuxone, Start with a small piece of sub try that and see if you get relief. If you are ok take a little more until you feel straight. I was wondering if anyone could help me here. I was on a high dose of methadone - 135ml & in total have been on that & now Suboxone & Subutext for a total of 10 years. I've spent the last few years reducing & am now on 2mg of Suboxone & 1.2mg of Subutext. I've actually had to stop reductions as I've been really sick for the last 7 months. I feel nauseous & weak all the time, occasionally throw up & burp up sick all the time. Sometimes I wonder if it could be that I am so low now on my medication, although I know by rights I should have stabilised & be fine. There are doctors listed where I live in Wichita, KS, but all of them are at their limit or no longer prescribe Subutex, I'm at my wits end and so sick! I have been on suboxone since 2008. 3 weeks ago I was switched to Zubsolve bc my ins stopped paying for the subs. Anyway the Zubs are awful. I've been sick for 3 weeks and am having to take 3x the dose I'm suppose to be taking. I'm going to the doc today to get back on the suboxone, yet I still have the ins problem. I am currently 8 months preg. Throughout preg. Dropped from 8mg subutex to 1-2 mg daily and spoke to hospital doc and OB hosp. Doc said I can stop if I feel comfortable since im on such low dose. Clinics say baby can have seizures only true w. Methadone patients and if u drop drastically but do what ur confortable with..
