Can trepiline be taken after I have stopped taking lyrica? ## I have taken Lyrica 50mg at night for a week. My doctor feels it is not necessary as it is not working. Do I have to taper off to stop, or can I just stop? Also would I be able to take 10mg trepiline once I have stopped the Lyrica or will I have to wait two weeks before commencing it? ## What has your doctor advised? I'm not seeing any serious issues between switching from Lyrica to Amitriptyline, but you should follow whatever instructions your doctor has provided you to get the best and safest outcome.

I have been taking Lyrica for about 3-4 weeks, low does of 50mg twice a day for cervical disc problems (neck) nerve pain. I am female, 42 years old. I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING MAD. Almost immediately I started experiencing a "high" feeling, and feel very disconnected to everything around me. I have trouble concentrating and sticking to any task, which is making working very difficult (I am a journalist/writer). My doctor warned me I might feel very drowsy after taking it, but I have the opposite problem - I cannot sleep. I average about 3/4 hours a night if I'm lucky. I feel very groggy when I wake and have been experiencing such violent, disturbing dreams that I constantly wake in a highly anxious state. My dreams scare me. In then I am behaving very violently to people arou...

I have been on Lyrica for 2 weeks now. Started at 75mg 2x a day, then went to 2-75mg 2x a day. My fibro pain is the absolute worst it has been in years. I have pain from head to toe. I need to sleep 12 hours a night to have my brain feel halfway normal. My fingers look like sausages and I am totally bloated from the Lyrica. Since this is a weekend day when I'm writing this, I cannot contact my doctor. Has anyone simply stopped taking Lyrica cold turkey? I am in agony with the pain. Thank you! ## I have been on Lyrica since 2005 for fibromyalgia and one of the main things I learned was that you should have been started on a lower dose, 50mg/day for a week and then slowly increased in up by 25mg/day/week until you found your "sweet spot". Otherwise, starting to high can create...
