I am prescribed Xanax 6 mg a day. My son stole my entire prescription, I was left with 6 mg. I have to take a urine test Monday. Obviously I have to have my medication in my system. Xanax is one of the shortest acting bezos there is, if not the shortest. So please stop saying its in your system for more then a week; it is highly unlikely it would show up after a week. Other bezos; like valium, yes, it can show up for weeks, or month if you are a chronic user. So dont look at a chart and say oh benzos are detectable for 1-6 weeks; It makes a difference on what you take; xanax should be out fairly quick; in my experience, I would like to give it a week; but I have passed in the 48-72hr range; just don't push it. ## Standard scientific testing shows that all Benzodiazepines can be detected in urine tests for as long as 6 weeks, after last use. I took 1/2 of a .5ml Xanax this Friday 9:30am for the first time in my life not realizing the implications affecting a drug test. I have to test this Sunday afternoon. Two weeks ago I took two bars of Xanax. This past Friday I took two more. I have a drug test this Sunday and I've been drinking and drinking water & cranberry juice, working out so I sweat. What are the chances I will fail my test? I have been going crazy worrying about my drug test for days now. I took 2 bars of xanax throughout a span of for days, Sunday being the last day. I found out that I have to take a drug test for school and have it submitted to them by June 24th. The last day that I took xanax was May 25th. I am freaking out. I take xanax and vicodin which are prescribed to me,but I have been taking them for almost 17 years so my tolerance is pretty high. I sometimes run out and take my husbands because he usually only takes one or two a week. Took 1 and a half pills of Xanax on Monday afternoon. I do not have a clue how many milligrams that is though. And I never took any before that and just took my drug test on Friday afternoon. It was a urine test. Should i pass? ## The half-life of Alprazolam is about 12 hours (more or less). To be safe, it should basically be out of your system within a few days after taking it, especially if you did not take any before or after Monday. So I *think* you should be in good shape, but that obviously depends on a variety of other factors, such as how sensitive the test is, the way your body metabolizes things, etc. Hope this helps. I am prescribed percocet, oxycontin, xanax, and adderall. I had a lower back injection done that I had a reaction to causing SEVERE PAIN AND UTI.
