I am having low grade fever for last two months with temperature varying between 98.6 and 99.8 . I am having occasional hot flushes , sometimes several in succession. These are mostly in early morning around 4 PM . Sometimes there are only a few , sometimes more even lasting up to late forenoon. There is no regular frequency or duration. There are periods when they do not occur and sometimes they occur daily or even just for a day. Sometimes the hot flushes are followed by chills but not frequently. I am having Diabetes and hypertension for which I am on oral medication . I am not taking any other allopathic medicines. I am taking some homeopathic medicines for low grade fever. If there was a fever caused by overheating or blanket, how long will it last? A day? Hour? ## Hello, Christina! How are you? As reported by the NIH, it shouldn't last very long, at all, if it was solely due to the blanket. Basically as soon as the body starts to cool off, the fever should start to lower. If it does not, then it was likely caused by some illness and not the heat of the blanket. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been on 120mg of verapamil for about 3 months. I take it for vestibular migraines. My neurologist doubled my dose to 240mg last week to see if it would help with persistent dizziness. I've had zero problems on the 120mg. I thought I was doing ok on the increased dose, but started running a low grade fever (99.5-100.9). I really have no other symptoms. The fever is persistent and will drop down for maybe an hour or two with anti-pyretics. Then it pops right back up. It's very weird, and I've never experienced anything like this before. I dropped my dose 3 days ago back to 120mg to see if the fever would break - no luck. It's been over a week now and I have developed a slightly productive cough in the last couple of days. I had shingles in my head and part of my face ner eye area I started taking 75 Gm twice a day then I took it once a day, and now I am taking 25 Gm twice a day, I want to stop it. ## In my opinion, such a low dose.
