I was due to have my period on the 18th of this month and it's been 10 days and still no period, took a pregnancy test and it came back negative, i was prescribed metronidazole 500mg twice daily on 5/22/17. I'm confused and not sure what's going on ## It the test was negative, then it is doubtful that you are pregnant, but it never hurts to have your doctor do a professional lab test to be sure. It can be normal to just have irregular cycles, sometimes. Unfortunately, it is just part of being a woman. How old are you? Are you on any other medications? The FDA does list many of them as possibly causing issues with menstruation, such as longer cycles.

Hi ,keerthi this side I missed my period which wss supposed to be due on 6th nov .2014. I feel some time ,my cycle started but when check its nothing water like discharge.even my cycle is not regular it get delayed every time so what could be the reason?

I'm on day 5of my period amd I'm on enskycewhat would happen if I missed my pills doig ovulation could I get pregnant ## Hello, Heather! How are you? If you missed pills during your period week, it won't make a difference. They are inactive and you don't ovulate that week. Each missed active pill can increase your risk of pregnancy, but you'd really have to miss them around the time of the month that you ovulate, for the risk to be any higher. By suppressing your natural hormones with oral contraceptives, it prevents ovulation from occurring. Typical side effects to oral contraceptives, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthrough bleeding and PMS like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is it safe for 3months pregnant to take cefalexin(mocep) and lagundi capsule for cough and cold? I'm sorry, I can't speak regarding the safety of Lagundi, since it an herbal supplement that has not been studied for use during pregnancy. The antibiotic Cephalexin, however, is listed as being safe during pregnancy, according to NIH studies. However, it is only effective at treating bacterial infections, so it will not do anything to help with a cold and cough. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic s...

I have beent aking this pil for about two months to stop my period while on vacation. The first month I was taking I missed ONE day and then my period started the next day. I continued to take the pill for about a week after as I was unsure if I should stop. I finally stopped taking that week later and let my period finish up. The Sunday after my period stopped I started a new pack. I stopped taking that pill on the last day of taking ( 3 week pills) as I was ready to get my period started. I should have started my period two days later but here I am a FULL WEEK later and no period. Pregnancy tests are coming up negative but no period in site! I am getting nervous! Is this normal? Hi! I am 26 years old.I have been take oralcon for a 3 day now.but I drink it at diffirent time around seven or eight sametime, can I fall pregnate ## If you are new to taking it and aren't on your period when you started it, then it takes 7 days to be effective and prevent pregnancy. As long as you keep it within a few hours, you'll be okay. The problem really arises when there's a lapse of 24 hours or more and you completely miss taking one or more tablets. But if you take one a 7 one day, then at 8 the next day, that's fine. It doesn't have to be exactly 24 hours on the dot. However, getting in the habit of taking it at the same time every day will really help you to remember, so you may want to leave yourself a reminder to take it each day, such as right when you ...

I am 29 and live in fresno ca. I am looking for a good Doctor outpatient to help me get off pain medication I've been taking for server endometriosis for over 4 years. I am planning on doing IVF and want to be off all medication. ## Hello, Rachel! How are you? In this case, it would be best to consult and OB Gyn and let them direct you in the proper way to do so, or refer you to another doctor that can help. Things can be very touchy with both your condition and for the success of IVF, do you have to be very careful. What medication are you taking and what is your dosage?

So she decided to let me take falgyl now in my fourth month of pregnancy (my second trimister). Now that i am taking it i often feel a lower left abdominal pain. Hi, I had my Jadelle implants removed in February 18th after having them for 3 years..been trying to get pregnant but no luck yet. I have baby fever and was wondering if its normal to take long to concieve. I have had regular periods too. ## Hi Lyz just wondering if you have had any luck yet with becoming pregnant? I also had the Jadelle removed in Feb since having it in for 5 yrs and have been trying to conceive since. I was on the jab 8 yrs ago, stopped and got pregnant with my son 2 months later. It seems a lot of women are having trouble conceiving after the Jadelle, is this something to be concerned about? ## Yes, it can take several months, after you stop any type of hormonal contraceptive, as reported by the NIH. Usually, women are advised to wait 3 to 4 months, anyway, after sto...

I had what I thought was a light period on Dec 31st till Jan 4. I called my doctor cause I was worried I might be pregnant. I have been on birth control for 2 years and in October this year I switched to tri sprintec after sprintec was giving me headaches. My doctor said I should not be pregnant since I take my pill everyday. I had intercourse with my boyfriend alot a week after my period the beginning of December but I took my pills. lately since the light period I have been feeling sick. For a week now I have had stomach aches and a back ache which I thought was from lifting a Christmas tree. Everyone says I shouldn't be pregnant even my doctor. I did take a lot of aspirin for my back. Like 3 325mg a couple times a day. Could I be pregnant if I'm in so much pain or what? ## He...

hi I've been on oralcon for about a week and would like to find out if i skipped to pills in a row, is it possible for me to fall pregnant? please help, I'm really confused and would like to start my family as soon as possible, have been trying for almost 2 years but i keep on getting a negative result. ## This medication is used to prevent pregnancy, so though there is a chance of pregnancy, if you miss tablets, it is still not a very high chance, according to the NIH. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irregular bleeding, and PMS-like symptoms. However, if you want to get pregnant, why are you taking this medication?

I'm a 28 year old trying to get pregnant for the last 3 years. I was on clomid, duphaston for more than 1 year. I underwent 2 iui also. I'm ovulating well every month and all the medical reports are normal but I'm not getting success. Now my doctor advised me to take m2-tone tabs for 3 months. But in the first month itself i missed my periods (periods are regular always). I had taken a home pregnancy test on the 7th day of my missed period but it was negative. So pls suggest whether these are tablet side effects or something else? And outside of this what else do u suggest for me to get pregnant? Thanks in advance. ## Hello, Dolly! How are you? Depin 10mg, 3 daily, and Tab,Duvadilan 3 tab daily for 15 days? is this safe??? ## Diana, Aspirin can increase the risk of bleeding and pregnancy complications, past the first trimester, so you should consult your doctor and make sure they know that you took it, even though you didn't a lot. anith008, Duvadilan contains the active ingredient Isoxsuprine, it is used to increase blood flow. I just found out I am pregnant and im an addict. I have an appointment with a dr to get detox meds which will be either subutex or suboxone but ive heard one is better than the other for when you are pregnant. Does anyone have any info to help me out please!? ## Hi, Amber! Congrats on the pregnancy and getting help with your addiction! As to which is better, I did some research and found out that both have been used successfully during pregnancy, though Subutex is often preferred since it doesn't contain the Naloxone that is in Suboxone, so it's one less risk to the baby. You can find Suboxone details here. The Naloxone is really the only difference between them. The best thing you can do is discuss all of your concerns and any possible risks with the doctor, so they can help yo...

Hi everyone, my wife has been dealing with some debilitating nausea, accompanied with occasional vomiting. She's about 7 weeks into her pregnancy. For the past few days she's barely been able to eat anything more than apple slices, saltine crackers, and some sparkling water. I feel so bad for her! Even plain water is hard for her to stomach. Anyways, our OB has prescribed some Ondansetron for her in hopes that it will bring some relief. She just took her first dose about an hour ago. We usually try to avoid meds as much as possible, but we have already tried some natural products such as ginger, a special morning sickness tea (with ginger, peppermint, spearmint, chamomile), and even an herbal pill (with ginger, vitamin B6, folic acid) ... to no avail. Does anybody out there have...
