Hello, friends! I started the Fentanyl patch 100mc today after OxyContin treatment my highest dose was 80OP up to 4 per 24 hours. I suffer from agonizing chronic pain due to severe nerve damage in my feet (medical neglect and misdiagnosed 3 years ago). I've build up opioid tolerance pretty quickly, so my doctor suggested the Fentanyl patches, plus, I felt "victimized by the system" - all and everyone plays the "Cops", lecturing me about the risks of opioids, treating me like a "junkie". I got my Oxycontin (name brand) today and thought i had gotten the generic because it had OP imprinted on it instead of th regular OC imprinted on it. I ask my phamacist what was going on and he said that Oxycontin had changed their logo. I noticed the pill was slighly bigger so when i took my pill i noticed it give me heartburn really bad just like the generic did when i tried the generic. Now i am in pain, i have the heartburn, and i don't know if i will be able to hold this new formular down because i am so sick at my stomach. Do you think Purdue will ever change the formula of Oxycontin back to the original? I sure hope so. I am going to start a petition to get the old formula back again. Hey! In all the other threads about the new oxy's -- everyone is stressing the new coatings, it seems. I have found the easiest and most efficient way to get BOTH coatings off is {edited for safety reasons}. Thought y'all would like to know that. ## I called Perdue today and BITCHED! I have been taking the 80's for years at high doses and i just got my script filled and i got 540 of the new ones. I broke out in hives the size of lemons. If it's just a broad, general test, then it would just show the presence of opiates. However, if they do more precise testing, then they can detect the exact ones you took and even the levels of them, to see if you were abusing the medications you're prescribed by taking more or adding in anything you aren't supposed to be taking. how are you able to crush the new oxycontin 10mg tablets ## You can't. The new Oxycontin OP has been specially designed to prevent this type of use. IF you try to crush or chew the pill, it turns into a gummy substance that retains its time released properties.
