He needs to seek medical attention immediately. That means he's created a blockage, which acts very similar to a clot and that creates the risk of it possibly coming loose and traveling to other areas of his body, such as the heart, lungs or brain. Another risk is it cutting off blood flow and him developing necrotic tissue. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you inject MS contin, you are risking instant DEATH! Don't do it. ## Well, I wouldn't say instant death, there is a good chance that there will be some suffering and misery involved first, at least until they pass out from the OD. You are correct, though, it can be deadly and is not something that anyone should try. There are reasons it is in a pill form and not meant to given by injection. I suffer from pain of a pituatary cyst benign, size 11mm. I Also have herniated, degenerative, arthritic lumbar spine. Along with nerve pain up and down my leg. MY doc. Has been kind and working with me on my dose of Ms Contin. I'm written 60 mgs every 12 hours, and up to 3 10-325 Norco for breakthrough pain. NORCO don't really help much anymore. I found a pill that is round and green in color. It says 30 on one side and looks like it says E 653 on the other side. Is this Morphine? Is it injectable? ## Yes, this is Morphine CR 30mgs, a generic for MS Contin. And NO IT IS NOT INJECTABLE! It is a tablet for a reason, am injectible would be a liquid. This is a 12 hour time released tablet. ## Yes it is injectible, you just need to know how to do it. Most people try to say no heat applied, but i have found that if you crush the pill add 2cc of water, or a little more, then bring to a boil. The gel stuff will still be there, just throw your micron filter or cotton in there and move it around to collect all of the loose liquid. After you've gotten all of it out you can, i add a little more water to solution then repeat. nice buzz

What are some of the medications used during the preliminary stage prior to having the pain pump installed? I was told a series of injections are administered with different medications (and mg's) to see what works best for me. This requires a 3-4 day hospital stay. I would then be scheduled to have the pump installed permanently. I have been seeing the same pain management doctor in Ohio for over 12 years for degenerative disc disease with radiculopathy and sciatica. She put me on 60mg MS Contin ER q 12 and 5-10 mg Oxycodone prn for break through pain. Now she tells me that I have to wean down to 60 mg Morphine Equivalent per day because of the new federal laws. I was able to enjoy an active lifestyle and now at 60 mg bid I am miserable and unable to do or enjoy anything. She is forcing me to go to a neuropathology doc for more injections, ablations and physical therapy which I have been through many times before without success. Hello Lyrica has always worked well. at one time in my life @ 3 years ago I was takinf it with no opiates. I was having killer leg pain after 10 days post facet injectins in my lumbar spine. So I went to not being on it for 2 years and now im taking it Long acting morphine. The combination of the lyrica & ms contin (long acting morph.) took my pain away. the lyrica has me somewhat jumpy, like I hafta move it gave me an energy boost and with my conditions, I have chronic fatigue so i'm having great results beside the sulphur burps that smell and taste terrible has anyone experienced this? If your taking MS Contin 60mg, and Morphine Sulfate IR 15mg and also injecting 20-30mg each day, can the drug test reveal this? ## They can detect the level of morphine I your system, depending on the me type if drug rest they do. But most just test for the metabolites, and the drug it's self.

I wanted to know if you can inject lyrica IV ## If it is not a product specifically made to be injected then doing so IS NOT safe. Capsules and tablets contain fillers and not all of these are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled in your waste. If you try to dissolve it and inject it, then you are putting these fillers directly into your body and run the risk of creating clots and blockages, which could be fatal. You can also create blockages in your lungs if you try to snort these substances.
