Endo expects to finish converting patients to the new formulation of Opana ER in 2Q12. Generics/Patent: The patent on Opana ER has been challenged by many companies, namely, Sandoz (Novartis), Impax Laboratories, Teva, Watson, Actavis, Roxane Laboratories and Ranbaxy. The company has settled all disputes apart from the one associated with Ranbaxy which Endo has decided not to challenge. Consequently, Ranbaxy can sell the generic versions of Opana ER from September 9, 2013. Following the settlements with all other challengers, they have agreed not to challenge patents relating to Opana ER. Actavis launched the generic version of non-tamper resistant formulation of Opana ER (7.5 and 15 mg dosages) on July 15, 2011. Impax can sell generic versions of Opana ER from January 1, 2013. I recently ran out of my blue watsons and got a cpl from a friend. They did NOTHING for me except dry my sinuses and left an awful taste in my mouth. Adventually i did get alittle nauseated but no itching or pain relief. I have gotten mine refilled since and tried to compare the two right dwn to getting a ruler out and tring to measure them. I cant difenively find a difference in them, so idk how to tell the difference from the fake or real ones until i were to take it. Not wanting to ingest the fake ones thou so im wondering if anyone else has found a flaw in size shape color or words looking different or different size numbers or words just anything what so ever that tells u besides takeing them that u have the fake ones. I've been taking a 10 /325 norco with big V on one side and v3601 on other darker yellow. i sitched to watson 853 10/325. the watsons don't seem to work. does it take time to get used to new pill or something . please help. ## There can be differences in generic drugs, the FDA does allow them to differ, from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient(s) by as much as plus or minus 20%. Problems can arise, however, because they are only required to measure against the name brand, not against each other, therefore, when you switch from one generic to another, you may find that one doesn't work as well, because you may not be getting as much of the medication as you were in the prior one. In some cases, they may even be stronger, which could cause problems for some ...

I HAVE HEP C AND AND IM TAKING 7.5 WATSONS AND NEED TO TAKE SOMTHING WITH SAME OR BETTER AS HELP ## Hello, Boston! How are you? There are quite a few available without Acetaminophen in them. You can get Oxycodone by itself, as well as Opana and Morphine, just to name a couple, so you may want to ask about them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, this is the first time I have been given the A333 oxycodone 10 -325. Normally I get the Watson 10 - 325 which has always been a decent generic brand. The Watsons 10 -325 are manufactured in the U.S.A. but I am not sure where the A333 are made or if they are equivalent to the Watsons. If you can answer my question it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Michael ## Hello, Michael! How are you? What country they are made in actually doesn't matter, if they are approved and available here in the U.S. they must meet the same quality and efficacy guidelines as the other generics and yes, these are equivalent. Is there anything else I can help with? ## hello my name is d, question are you a legal doctor and where do you get your medical resourses thanks for your time d. ## Hi again...

I was getting watson 5-325 oxycodone from a pharmacy that my health insurance recently dropped from my coverage. The other pharmacies in my area do not carry the watson brand. I've tried 3 different pharmacies 3 different manufacturers and none seem to work as well as the watsons. I'm down to my last pharmacy which carries endocet brand of the oxycodone I need. Has anyone had any experience with the endocet? or any helpful advice for me? Thanks in advance... ## Have you tried asking the pharmacies if they can order the one manufactured by Watson in for you? Most of them can do so, but you would be responsible for the price difference between their usual generic and what the one from Watson costs. The Endocet, however, may work well, because it is a brand name manufactured by End...

My friend and I are both prescribed Lortab APAP10/500's. I get the Watson 540 blue pills and he gets the M363 white pills. I have taken the white ones before, but for some reason, it did not help me as much as the Watsons. I don't understand this. Besides the manufacturer, is there any real difference between the two different kinds of pills? ## Besides the difference in manufacturers, there may be a significant difference in the inactive ingredients in each pill. Inactive ingredients found in M363 are: crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone corn starch silicon dioxide stearic acid Each Watson 540 tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone starch steari...

I used to take Watson percocet and never had any problems and it took away my pain. The Actavis is nothing like the Watsons and have terrible side effects and feels like you are taking a placebo - NO pain relief. If you have to take more to get any type of pain relief you will suffer alot of GI problems. Anyone else notice this difference? ## Hi Lisa, While I don't have personal experience with Actavis products, I have heard numerous complaints about most of their oxycodone and percocet tablets being far below what is considered standard quality. I'm thinking there's a couple different things that may be at cause here. Excess amounts of binders/fillers are usually the first to be blamed for those who experience GI related issues. This is likely the case with most generic med...

There is something very wrong with the white Watsons besides being less affective ,I get headaches sleeplessness, irritability, and dry mouth, the only thing I know is that actual Watson company pharmaceutical sold to Activis which another pharmaceutical company. this is not the same pill. Waldgreens gave me these without telling me of the change after getting home I went to take one and found out they were white, I called waldgreens and was told they are exactly the same. I tested this pill for 10 days now and I still have the same negative reaction. If I cant get them to switch the remaining ones with the V script imprint I will be taking my business back to CVS ## They are supposed to have only removed the dye from them, but there have been many complaints similar to yours. It's more than likely just a generic brand you may not have seen before. Hope this helps ease your mind. ## There is a white, oval tablet manufactured by Watson Laboratories which they list as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. I recently got my prescription filled and discovered that my generic Watsons changed to actavis. They are horrible!! They don't work even close to Watsons! Im in pain because they don't work as well. Im very disappointed and will be finding a different pharmacy!!!! ## Hello, Bthcal! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you've had. Many people have actually complained about this one. What I'd suggest is reporting the issue to the FDA, you can reach them at 888-463-6332. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've been on watson oxy/apap 10/325 for years, and they have always worked wonderfully. last month it was changed to actavis and it feels as if i'm taking HALF THE DOSE! it's HORRIBLE, and not only does it NOT work, it looks just like...

I had been taking 5/325 generic Watson percocet for 4 years. Suddenly I get notified by Walgreens which I have insurance that there is no more Watson brand and I was given generic percocet 5/325 by Actavis. It is not the same at all. It has no pain relief for me. I used to break the watsons in half sometimes and never had a funny taste. I just broke one of the actavis white tablets in half and it immediately tasted like salt or alka seltzer? Has anyone had any issues with this drug too. Also, along with it not working right it has made my GI tract and stomach so ill feeling and cramping. This is not right how can they take away a medicine that someone has been on for 4 years without any problems and tell them to suddenly switch. I have been on pain management for 10 years due to severe car wreck. I have taken all of the generic brands in the past and to me the yellow watsons r the best followed by qualitest with the mallins not worth taking. So last month i go to docs get scripts and go to walgreens to get my norcs, i get my pills and notice that they were white, So i take a couple and nothing, i take two more, nothing! So im stuck with them all month and everytime i took them nothing, Watson is now Activis or whatever, All i know is that they r not watson norcos, they might have the name and numbers but they r not the real deal. So this month i went to a different pharmacy that sells the qualitest yellow norcs with the v on them. They r waay better than the white watson/activis norcs. So from now on, i will get...

I recently got a rx refill of white watsons imprint 853 on them and a few people have told me these are bad quality! They said if they break easily and taste like chalk they are counterfeit!? They made my dad real sick! ## Yes got some in my script a few days ago break easily and doesn't desolve in water ## @Boo, Watson 853 is actually reported to be a legitimate medication made by Watson Pharmaceuticals (now known as Actavis). So as long as your doctor prescribed them I wouldn't necessarily question their legitimacy. The idea about them coming off as being fake is quite common though, ever since Actavis changed the formula from the original yellow version. They say that only the yellow dye was removed, but this clearly isn't the case when countless other patients have repor...
