I am addicted to strong pain meds and I am tired of having to come off of them, the withdrawal is awful. I went to a urgent care doc and was prescribed suboxone. I take anxiety meds too but he wants me to stop. I really need the anxiety meds but he wants me off them. How do I get him to change it from suboxone to methadone so I can take my anxiety meds? ## Legally, he can't. To get Methadone for addiction treatment in the U.S. requires that you go to an actual Methadone treating clinic, private doctors aren't allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment. My regular doctor left the puyallup tribal health authority over a year ago, i was in jail for 9 months for some driving while license suspension charges, i get out and dr. ries had left and started his own practice in another city. I have had Bone Spurs along my Lumbar and Some Thoracic vertebral bodies. Also, L4, L5 bulging discs. prescribed OxyContin gradually from 10 mg to 80mg over 12 years. Pain started to decrease and lowered my medication to Methadone 10mg /2 or 3 pills every 12 hours. Pain Managed until August 4th, 2014 car accident causing a burst fracture of my L4 vertebrae. I have been taking Methadone for over a year at a clinic to get off of some of the pain medications prescribed to me, one of them Xanax (been taking seven years or more) for severe anxiety and PTSD. I have fibromyglia, CFS, nerve damage in my legs, Osteoarthritis in both knees, herniated disks in my neck, and three bulging disks in my lower back. I also have terrible insomnia. I just moved to the Dallas area. I have congenital disc degeneration disorder. I suffer from muscle spasms and neuropathy. The only thing that truly helps me with my pain is valuim or Xanax. My husband has lumbago (lower back pain) and I gets pretty bad where it keeps him up at night.
