I live I'm Frederick md and have been on oxycodone 30 for over 10 years. I went to my dr yesterday and then to my safeway to get script filled, they said they were out and not sure when they would get them in.. I called 37 pharmacys and went to about 12 all over Maryland West Virginia virginia and PA....... And they ALL say the same thing that they are out of stock... How is that possible!!! ive been on oxycodone 15mgs for about 3 months for chronic back pain and now this month no pharmacy has it does anyone know whats going on ## I'm sorry, but it is hard to know what pharmacy has any given medication in stock, at any given time. There was a shortage, due to imposed manufacturing limits at the end of the year, so it may just be taking awhile for all pharmacies to get a supply back in to fill prescriptions. I found plenty of pharmacy that has my pain meds but tell me they can not fill my script because they cant except any knew patients at this time. I don't think it's fare that a pharmacy, can save there pills for there regular patients, should be first come first served, if all pharmacy are telling me that, then how will I ever be a customer, to any pharmacy. I can't find a dr that will give me oxys for my chronic pain. ## HI, Crystal! Which one are you actually looking for, a doctor or a pharmacy? And when it comes to a doctor, if you're seeking one, how are you checking to see if they will prescribe it? If you're calling a new doctor to set up an appointment and asking ahead of time if they'll prescribe Oxycodone, most will see that as being drug seeking behavior and will just tell you that they don't prescribe such medications. The best thing to do there is to see a new doctor and just make sure that they get a full copy of your most recent medical records, if they can see what has and hasn't worked for you in the past, as documented by a fellow physician, they will be more prone to prescribe accordingly. I fill ALL of my prescriptions with express scripts including my Roxicodone. I have a severe case of chronic Pancreatitis, which causes acute attacks almost every month. On top of this, which is unbelievably painful, I have 4 herniated discs in my back as well as a completely blown out left knee. I also have lingering pain from several gun shot wounds I was lucky enough to live through in Afghanistan. Express Scripts however sends my pain meds every 34 DAYS, LEAVING ME IN WITHDRAWAL, for the 1st couple months, until I started cutting the amount I took from 4 to 3 the last week, so I don't suffer too bad from pain or withdrawal. I wish I could find a legitimate pharmacy that fills my prescriptions in a timely manner and accepts my insurance. I guess serving ones country does not matt...

My RX was written for 168. The Pharmacy cut it to 150 without telling me. I lost the 16 pills. Is this legal to do this. ## Are you sure it was written for 168, or is it possible you misread your doctor's handwriting? Prescriptions for controlled substances can be written for no more than 30days and they are usually written according to the maximum number that can be taken each day. Thus, 2 pills a day would be 60 and 3 a day would be 90. 150 tablets is 5 a day, therefore 168 actually doesn't make any sense, because the next possible number would be 6 a day, which is 180 tablets. So, if they weren't sure of the number, due to difficult reading it, or there seemed to be a discrepancy between it and the dosing instructions, they would go by the logical dosing instructions and ...

Same as many of you writing here. Last night I drove-(post-op of three compound fractures with possible infection) to 7 pharms all who claimed "out of stock" or "manufacturer is limiting am't. we can order"-just about anything so they don't have to fill your prescription. This is insane. I'm driving all over creation because they all lie via phone. Im waiting to have an accident because my pain is so bad I start crying. I have been on rox and oxy for the past 10 years before all this drama started. Back when you could find out if the pharm could fill the script via phone. My Dr. is obviously the one privy to my medical records and therefore is thoroughly informed of my condition, and is most qualified to prescribe what is necessary. Lately Pharmacists are playing God while simultaneously failing the medical community especially the people that are in severe pain. A Pharm now trumps any MD or specialists (when a pharmacist can't even write a script lacking a medical degree) .WTF!
