I have been taking 10/325 oxycondone. Today I was prescribed 10 mg OxyContin OP. I am used to getting all 10 mg instantly within 10-20 minutes. When I took one of the OP's I did not get any relief or feel any effects for almost 4-5 hours later. This is unacceptable for me. I would like to get all 10mg at once like when I take my 10/325's, but I'm afraid of overdosing if I take more than my prescribed dose! Can someone please help! ## Hello, Coot! How are you? My new PM doc pushed methadone 10mg x 3 daily on me after being on oxy 20 mgms 2 yrs for back issues. Im having problems, every bone in my body is killing me!! its terrible, the only relief i get is taking the percocet for break thru pain. I have an appt tomorrow again. Also, i now have extremely high blood pressure, could this be causing it?. He pushes ONLY methadone, i cant understand why... he swears its the best pain reliever around yet, im not doing too great on it. any ideas why? I have to go to the pain clinic next week and not sure if they are going to drug test me or not. They have been messing around with my meds and of course instead of starting at the ceiling they start at the floor. I was on morphine 30 twice a day, my insurance stopped paying for that. They tried all kinds of other things that bothered my stomach but now we are on oxycontin 10mg which is not strong enough so i have had to substitute until i go back and i do not want to lose my doctor. He is very understanding. I do not take oxy's often but I took one today, tues, 10mg tablet by mouth, i am 31 and about 160lbs and 5'9. I may have a drug test mon the 26 for court will it show up in my urine? EVEN BREAKING THE PILL DOWN WITH {edited for safety reasons} its all dissolved and instant release and it also hold some of the time release too even dissolving it and works all day... as far as snorting, forget it cause these junkies that try to do it using microwave, etc are wasting the product by heating it for one and with a 20mg pill, you would spend more time trying to perfect the method to a point where it just isnt worth it...trust me i love to intranasal too but cant with these new op formula...these new op are good but just not for iv or snorting. good luck ## this is 2 weeks in now. after being on 4 10mg percacet daily for pain. now getting 2 20mg oxycontin and 2 10mg percocet breakthru. so, overall i am feeling so much better than the past 3 months. all the doctors are afrai...
