My doctor recently began prescribing me OxyContin 20 mg tablets for my EDS and arthritis pain. He also is prescribing me 20 mg of Pepcid for a stomach ulcer I have. From what my pharmacist told me the OxyContin is a time released medication broken down by stomach acid. The problem I'm having is with the Pepcid I'm taking I do not have enough acid to properly break down the OxyContin. I can literally see the pills come out in my bowel movements. I'm also having trouble urinating since starting this medication. My question is what type of medication can I ask my doctor to percribe me that will be able to break down with being on the Pepcid? From all of the research I have done as well as blogs I have read the most common medication prescribed is a 30 milligram Percocet. But is...

Can a urine test pick up the difference between 1 OP 30mg Oxycontin and Oxycodone 7.5/325, which is my regular prescription? ## It can't tell the difference. Both pills contain oxycodone as their drug. The only difference in the two pills is their time release matrix in the OxyContin. Both drugs break down into the same chemicals in the urine. OxyMorphone is a different story I'm trying to figure out.

Ive moved into rockland county ny. Im lookin for a new pm doc. Im perscribed 40mg opana twice daily and 30mg oxycodone twice daily. Id even consider paying the doctor out of my pocket. I need help. Have been prescribed Oxycotin 80 mg. two times daily and Oxycodone 30 mg for breakthrough pain - 5-7 daily. Will see Dr. tomorrow. Please tell me what is best substitute for the Oxycodone (have Oxycontine). Am in much pain post op and back, my son is gong to have to go to doctor and I need to tell him what an expert with the recall/shortage, knowing what's available as substitute, etc. recommended. NOTE: Operations on intestines so combination opiates with Tylenol and esp. any Nsaids (aleve) would be a VERY last resort,i.e. 6 Vicodin=I Oxycodone 30mg and that's 500 mg. I was on oxycodone 30mgs for 7yrs along with oxycontin 40mgs until they changed the oxycontin to the op's and my doc replaced it with opana. my doc retired and I'm now having trouble finding a good doc. the one I'm seeing now lowered all my meds even dropping me down from 30mg oxycodone to 5mg for my breakthrough pain and dropped my opana down to 20mg. he also keeps doing procedures on me that I've had done by 2 other doctors that didn't work then and they're not working now. can someone please tell me of a good doctor that wont keep putting me in more pain and help me with the severe pain I'm in? I'm willing to travel anywhere in ohio for a good doc. thanks

I've been taking oxycontin oc with different mgs. and now I just recieved these new oxycontins that are 30 mgs. op and I cant get them to break down so that I can inject them I'm really going through some terrible withdraws. can some one please give me some advice so that I can?
