I take the Rhodes 10/325 percocet and they are better than actavis oh that don't help at all. Rhodes and Amneal I agree are weak compared to the old Watson's and Mallinckrodt, and Endocet, even Roxicet. I've been taking Norco 10/3.25 for years for severe chronic pain--It's now no longer effective at all--I'm wondering about changing to Percocet 10/3.25 and whether this would be a stronger, more effective and longer lasting med to take--I've tried also Oxy.10 mg. hcl and they work so so and notice I need to take way more often than I ever did with Norco. I just had surgery on my throat yesterday. I was given percocet to take home from hospital(8 5/325s) and was prescribed tramacet. Am i able to over lap and take both or sshould I take the rest of percocet before beginning the tramacet? I do not take pills often therefore I am not to sure. Hello, my husband is taking 5 Percocet 10/325 in 6 hours. I'm afraid it is going to kill him. He has abused them also. It worries me and he fusses with me when I confront him about it. Should I be concerned? ## Yes, you have a valid reason to be concerned. Not only is that a high amount of Oxycodone to take, but the Acetaminophen in them is an even bigger concern. The limit should be no more than 1,000mgs every 8 hours and no more than 3,000mgs in any 24 hour period, anything over that risks overdose toxicity, which may be fatal! It can cause liver damage, or failure, which could result in death, as reported by the NIH. If he is taking that many at once, he needs help and his doctor should be informed of the situation. How often does he take that many?

Hi, I am taking Percocet 10/325 for back, hip and leg pain. I recently had a multiple level Lamonectomy. When I was first prescribed this medication the pills were oblong and white. The next prescription that was filled was percocet 10/325 as well, however they were round, yellow and they seemed so much stronger. The white ones I had in the first prescription seemed to leave a lot of white residue in my medicine bottle. The yellow did not. The yellow round ones relieved my pain much better and I did not have to take as often. Both being generic and were 10/325 could it be the way they metabolize in your system? Generic Percocet is weak, and having trouble finding brand, I'm a BK amputee. Over 20 yrs with severe nerve bundles on and off meds depending on my situation. Only prescribed 60 10mg/ 325 a month and not a day sooner. I understand the need to not to be over medicated very well. I am now left in pain often since there are days where only taking two pills daily is ridiculous. In my line of work I stand for 3+ hrs. at a time. I have had Percocet 30 mg w/ no APAP . I have taken many generic Percocet 10-325 made by different companies. Different size/shape/color. But these 4829 v seem to be stronger for some reason. Been taking pain meds for 30 years. So I know side effects are different sometimes. I have been light headed/anxious/hot/cold when I take 2. Don't have to often. But I usually stick with the every 4 hours regimen. This is the first time I have used this brand for my pain. Any suggestions? ## Has your doctor instructed you to take 2 of them? It is entirely normal to experience more side effects, if you raise your dosage. I am disabled in NE Florida and have been on a pain management regime for about 12 years now. I am currently prescribed and using two differing pain medications in this ongoing he'll of trying to stay ahead of the often unbearable pain. I take Morphine every 12 hours-ALWAYS, and Percocet when needed for the stingy pain days. I also down Ibuprofen like it's candy. Because of this, my stomach has become SEVERELY intolerant of it lately when I have to take the Percocet for breakthrough pain. My physician has attributed this to too much Acetaminophen given that it is added to the fact that I already take so much Ibuprofen as well regularly. Hello, I have been managing joint and joint replacement pain for years with Norco 10/325 on an as-needed basis. We are using the 10 mg because it as a smaller ratio of Tylenol than the 5/325. I have been careful to use it only as needed because I fear addiction. Recently I painfully injured my hip and needed to use pain killers more often. My doctor switched me to Percocet, which did little for the pain and gave me a huge headache.
