I take 8 - 30mg Codeine daily, put some days need a bit more. I have some Hydrocodone 5/ace 500. can I add one or two of these, or take additional Codeine ## You can take 60 mg of Codeine every 4 hrs. But, if they contain 500 mg of tylenol instead of 325 mg, you can only take 2 every 6 hrs due to the high amount of tylenol. Hydrocodone is stronger that Codeine, so you may want to take the hydrocodone only instead.

Root canal Friday 55 miles from home. No pain medicine given for home. When deadening wore off, this 64 year old was crying. I have Tramadol whis I take 3 a day for spinalstenosis. So my only thought was to take 2 every 6 hrs and no more than 4. It did not cut the pain. I also found Tylenol 3 in cabinet with 150 written on it. Which and how much should I take. Doctor prescribed Tylenol #4 for shingles pain. Can Tylenol #4 be split in half? There is too much codeine in a whole one. It makes me light headed and nauseous. ## To the person asking about splitting Tylenol # 4 in half as it is making you feel nausea. My advice would be to make sure you're not talking it on an empty stomach, as with most pain medications they should be taken with food, however, always read and follow any prescriptions directions and understand their side effects. I've been taking 2 Norco 10s for years. I've just decided to try and switch to Tylenol 3s. For less Dr visits and refill purposes. my pain is too much to handle. the doctor cannot give me more than 30 tablets of hydrocodone/acetaminophen at a time. So I need to know how many Tylenol to take to help me. ## Hi Nikki, To my understanding, no amount of tylenol (acetaminophen) is equivalent to the effects of Hydrocodone, before experiencing what would be considered an overdose of acetaminophen - which can be extremely toxic to the liver. It sounds like your best bet would probably be to ask your doctor for a stronger pain medication (that you can take less of) or opt for a safer, more natural alternative that can be used as an adjunctive therapy to what you already take. All they are really doing is lessening the amount of Acetaminophen in their products. It started sometime earlier this year, but all manufacturers have to abide by this new law which only allows up to 325 mgs of Acetaminophen. This is primarily due to safety concerns with liver toxicity. Some pain management patients suggest taking an extra Tylenol to make up for it. However I wouldn't necessarily recommend more of something that is considered to be so toxic. Can 500mg Tylenol be taken in between IP 109 tablets? The IP 109 tablets are taken once in the morning and once in the evening, but does not seem to be enough for that back pain. Hi. I'm trying to help my 24 year old son off Zubs. He finally told us he had been taking painkillers for a year and then went to Zubs for a month before coming home to get off them too. I took oxycontin and oxycodone for 6 years... stopped cold turkey, cause i lost my job and insurance..........first month sucked real bad, but now i am ok. If you have chronic gastritis, you shouldn't take any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, such as the Meloxicam. They can be very harsh on the stomach and can cause gastritis, or gastritis flare ups as side effects.
