how many of these white oblong ip204 oxycodone pills can you take at once. i took one and barely feel much. how many can kill you if its your first time etc... ## Hello, Manny! How are you? What are you expecting to feel from it? This tablet is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Oxycodone. The FDA classifies this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The Acetaminophen is actually the biggest danger, because taking too much of it in a day could result in overdose Toxicity, liver failure, liver damage and it could be fatal. There's no precise amount anyone can tell you is or isn't dange...

I shattered my ankle and broke and shattered my tibia. I had surgery about 3 weeks ago. Sometimes during the day my pain is worse and the pain starts to rage about an hour and a half to 2 hours later. In those instances would it be safe to take one more Percocet? It is not all the time. My doctor did say I could take 2 tablets every 4 hours but I don't feel like I need that much and I'm a little scared to take 2 at one time. ## Hello, Morgan! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in so much pain. You can take it that way, as long as your doctor approves. However, you may want to try taking two at once, since it won't be much different from taking another a couple hours later, but it may prevent that severe pain from setting in. The FDA classifies this medication as a na...

Sorry about the problem that you've having getting your medication. A large distributor was recently shut down on the east coast, which has left many pharmacies in a lurch, until someone takes over. Additionally, there are limits on how much any pharmacy can order in and keep in stock each month, so once they are out, they can't do anything about it. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Other than going to drugstores in your area and checking, I am not sure what else to suggest. Have you co...

Is this pill immediate release or control releassed and Up too how many milligrams can you take at once how many hours apart ? ## Hello, Erin! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by KVK Tech and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation, so it starts working about 15 to 20 minutes after you take it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. As to how much you can take and when to take it, you should follow your doctor's instructions. Much of it depends on your pain levels and opiate tolerance. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So this means they are immediate release so ev...

try to find out if these pills are extended release ## Hello, Jack! How are you? The only time released Oxycodone available is Oxycontin and they have the marking of OP on one side and the number corresponding to the dosage on the other. The tablets with the NP 14 marking contain 20mgs in the regular release formulation, so it's a generic for Roxicodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## i have oxycodone N P 14 20 mg (small round grey pill). I want to know if i can break them in half because i think 20 mg will be to much for me all at once. I can't be knocked out cold a...

Was on 360 30mg Oxycodones a month for 5 years. Doctor has now switched me to 240 30mg Oxycodone and 25mcg Fentanyl patches. I seem to be hurting worse since going on the patches. I go back Thursday for refills should I ask him to change anything? ## Hello, Blazer! How are you? That's very unusual, that would be 12 a day. 240 is still 8 a day, which isn't the typical amount prescribed, either. Fentanyl is much stronger than Oxycodone, but it is a time released patch, so it will not hit you all at once, like the Oxycodone did. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they have potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You may be dealing with some rebound pain from lowering yo...

Can you take only half of a OP 30 pill? ## No, they are time released formulations of Oxycodone, so cutting it in half could result in too much of the medication being released at once and may cause an overdose. Learn more Oxycontin details here. Are there any other comments or questions?

Since being told about pancreatitis and gallstones until I am cleared for surgery am living in constant pain. Can't have normal existence that once was. The meds are so unbelievably expensive so I'm trying to find a way to just be happy and pain free until I can be fixed. ## I have cirrhosis of the liver and also have hepatitis c. The Dr's suggest I get on the liquid methadone but I can't get a way to the clinic in peoria Illinois everyday and can't afford the cost. I'm dependent on opiates and I need help before I die due to liver damage. ## @Karen, I haven't heard much about COD (cash on delivery) when it pertains to filling mail-order prescriptions... But one thing I would encourage you to do is contact the usual pharmacy you fill your scripts at and see w...

My brother was on OXYCONTIN blue generic k57 40 mg for torn muscles~ he weighed 252 pounds & was prescribed 30 pills by physician~ we'll to make long story short he took 3 bc of severe pain and died in sleep, how can a man his weight have his heart stop by taking a small amount when he weighs so much? Have they changed? They were once yellow but heard genres are bluish & stronger than real ones? ## Hello, Jack! How are you? I am so sorry for your loss, that's so tragic. The tablet with the K 57 marking is manufactured by KVK Tech and they list them as containing only 20mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzin...

oxycodone prices have doubled in less than 30 days in tenn. rumor has it that the manufacturers ,being top 8 have been sold an now there is only 1 producer of this product! ## It's not that there is only one manufacturer, now. That is only relevant to the name brand time released product, Oxycontin. The current problem stems from the fact that each year the DEA sets a manufacturing limit on how much of any controlled substance can be made and distributed. The figure is based on prior year prescriptions, as well as information from the FDA and the manufacturers, once the total amount is determined, it is split between the manufacturers. Usually, this gives a very good idea of how much the market will demand in the upcoming year and helps minimize how much is out there to be stolen an...

I never take the whole 30~i take 1 thirty pill a day,at 4 diff times apart I break them~ thankyou ## Oxycontin is a time released medication, so it is not safe to cut or break the tablet, you could be getting too much of the medication at once, which may explain why you are getting sick, according to FDA report...

I too, went to get my monthly refil of oxycodone at Walgreens. None available. My pain pills are the only thing that allows me to lead a normal life; one without terrible, crippling pain. Do not know what I will do. Taking a large amount of over the counter pain meds is very bad and make me sick to my stomach. ## Hello, Sydney! How are you doing? Did you try any other pharmacies? This late in the year, there are often problems getting controlled substances filled, for two reasons........... One: Each pharmacy is restricted on how much they can keep in stock each month, it is based on their size and amount of customers. Once they run out each month, they cannot order more, until the following month. This is a DEA directive. And second: The DEA also restricts the manufacturers, they are e...

I am prescribed oxycodone 30 mg tablets every month. I ran out a few days early and I just wanted to know if I could take 10 mg Percocet in the same quantity to keep my levels up? ## The problem with taking so much Percocet is the Acetaminophen in it. The FDA lists the maximum recommended daily dose it to no more than 3,000mgs and taking 9 Percocet in a day would come really close to that. You might be okay to do this, if your doctor approves, but generally they don't like you to take more than 2, at once. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. When do you see your doctor for a new prescription? ## Yes BOO, take three Percoce...

im cant find any drug stores taking new pain contracts in knoxville tn,if anyone has any info please email me ## HI, Wanda! Sorry about the problem that you're having. Do you have insurance? If so, then I'd suggest contacting them to see if they have a mail order pharmacy that you can use. That might make it easier to get your prescription filled. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Though they weren't being enforced for quite a long time, there are actually limits on how much of any controlled substance a pharmacy can order in and have in stock each month and earlier this year, the DEA started cracking down to enforce these limits. This has caused many pharmacies to have to refuse new customers for such medications, since once they are out each month, they are out and cannot...

WHICH WOULD WORK THE BEST SEVERE CONTINOUS BACK/NECK PAIN. I HAVE SUFFERED PAIN FOR MANY YRS FROM THE RESULTS OF A BROKEN NECK, DUE TO AN AUTO ACCIDENT. I DONT LIKE THE IDEA OF BEING "HIGH" OR ANYTHING, BUT NEED MEDS TO HELP TAKE THE SO CALLED EDGE OFF MY PAIN. ## For continuous intense pain, the time released formulations are usually used, because they can provide much longer pain relief. Though for pain management, many people end up using both, an immediate release to get faster relief, while waiting for the time released ones to kick in. The time released Oxycodone, which is available under the name brand Oxycontin, slowly releases the narcotic medication over a 12 hour time period. Since it's not all released at once, this also helps avoid the euphoric, high feeling for...

what is the eqivalent dosage of morphine vs oxycodone? I currently take 40mgs of oxycodone, and would like to change to MS IR, what amount of MS IR is equal to 40mgs of Oxycodone? ## Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so an equivalent dosage would be 60mgs. However, you do need to make sure you taking the same formulation, since both Oxycodone and Morphine come in regular, instant and time released formulations. Thus, if you're taking the regular release formulation of Oxycodone, then you would need a regular release formulation, in that dosage, of the Morphine. The only 40mg Oxycodone available is the extended release, Oxycontin. Due to the dangers of overdose, from getting too much medication, at once, it is highly unlikely that your doctor is going to give ...

I have a small bottle of oxycodone concentrate liquid and I take three 30 mg tablets at once, 3 or 4 times a day. So I have a high tolerance and I'm trying to figure out how much I can take of the liquid to be safe? How long does it take for oxycodone liquid to work? ## You would need to do a conversion to determine the amount of Oxycodone per ml of liquid solution. Typical concentrations are either 20mg per ml of liquid, or 5mg per 5ml of liquid (per this site's dosage list on the Oxycodone page). So first off, is the concentration listed on the bottle? If so then you would need to measure out the appropriate amount of liquid by doing a conversion. For example, if your body is used to a 60 mg dose of tablets (which is very high, by the way), then the goal would be to take the c...

I've been taking 45-60mg of oxycodone daily for quite awhile now. My doctor would like me to cut down to 45mg (3 x 15mg) more often and add 10mcg/hour buprenorphine patches and only take 60mg (4 x 15mg) as needed. I've read that buprenorphine patches may cut down the analgesic effect of the oxycodone, have others experienced this? It worries me that my oxycodone may no longer help me reduce my pain. ## Yes, Buprenorphine can sometimes do that, because it tends to cling much more strongly to the opiate receptors than other opiates. However, it is also an analgesic, so you may not need the Oxycodone, once you start it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drows...

I'm taking 1 oxycodone 5 mg and 2 tylenol 325 mg. I take this once or two times a day depending pain level. Is the mg in the tylenol too little or too much. Thank you ## Hello, Carol! How are you? Only your doctor can tell you what dosage is right for you, but generally, each dose of Acetaminophen (Tylenol) should be no more than 1,000mgs in any 8 hour period and no more than 3,000mgs per 24 hour period. The FDA limits the current prescription doses to no more than 325mgs per dose. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

We all need to ban together somehow to stick up for the legitamte people in pain with the proper documentation. This is bull**** what we have to do to get our medication each month, From all the BS at the doctor offioce visits. With the ever changing rules to follow from the DEA . The scare tactics the DEA uses to scare the doctors to even pescribe the Oxycodone to legitamate people in chronic pain. And finally once you get through all of that..if you do... then come the BS at the pharmacies....you will hear we are out..or the shipment is comimg in a few days...then you go back and it didnt come in and its on back order...or you will hear (we dont fill from that doctor with no explination)...or we dont get them anymore. Its so much BS we have to stand up together and do somthing people!...
