Sorry about the problem that you've having getting your medication. A large distributor was recently shut down on the east coast, which has left many pharmacies in a lurch, until someone takes over. Additionally, there are limits on how much any pharmacy can order in and keep in stock each month, so once they are out, they can't do anything about it. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Other than going to drugstores in your area and checking, I am not sure what else to suggest. Have you co... ...

Is this pill immediate release or control releassed and Up too how many milligrams can you take at once how many hours apart ? ## Hello, Erin! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by KVK Tech and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation, so it starts working about 15 to 20 minutes after you take it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. As to how much you can take and when to take it, you should follow your doctor's instructions. Much of it depends on your pain levels and opiate tolerance. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So this means they are immediate release so ev... ...

30mg Oxycodones

Was on 360 30mg Oxycodones a month for 5 years. Doctor has now switched me to 240 30mg Oxycodone and 25mcg Fentanyl patches. I seem to be hurting worse since going on the patches. I go back Thursday for refills should I ask him to change anything? ## Hello, Blazer! How are you? That's very unusual, that would be 12 a day. 240 is still 8 a day, which isn't the typical amount prescribed, either. Fentanyl is much stronger than Oxycodone, but it is a time released patch, so it will not hit you all at once, like the Oxycodone did. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they have potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You may be dealing with some rebound pain from lowering yo... ...

oxycodone pricing

oxycodone prices have doubled in less than 30 days in tenn. rumor has it that the manufacturers ,being top 8 have been sold an now there is only 1 producer of this product! ## It's not that there is only one manufacturer, now. That is only relevant to the name brand time released product, Oxycontin. The current problem stems from the fact that each year the DEA sets a manufacturing limit on how much of any controlled substance can be made and distributed. The figure is based on prior year prescriptions, as well as information from the FDA and the manufacturers, once the total amount is determined, it is split between the manufacturers. Usually, this gives a very good idea of how much the market will demand in the upcoming year and helps minimize how much is out there to be stolen an... ...

im cant find any drug stores taking new pain contracts in knoxville tn,if anyone has any info please email me ## HI, Wanda! Sorry about the problem that you're having. Do you have insurance? If so, then I'd suggest contacting them to see if they have a mail order pharmacy that you can use. That might make it easier to get your prescription filled. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Though they weren't being enforced for quite a long time, there are actually limits on how much of any controlled substance a pharmacy can order in and have in stock each month and earlier this year, the DEA started cracking down to enforce these limits. This has caused many pharmacies to have to refuse new customers for such medications, since once they are out each month, they are out and cannot... ...

WHICH WOULD WORK THE BEST SEVERE CONTINOUS BACK/NECK PAIN. I HAVE SUFFERED PAIN FOR MANY YRS FROM THE RESULTS OF A BROKEN NECK, DUE TO AN AUTO ACCIDENT. I DONT LIKE THE IDEA OF BEING "HIGH" OR ANYTHING, BUT NEED MEDS TO HELP TAKE THE SO CALLED EDGE OFF MY PAIN. ## For continuous intense pain, the time released formulations are usually used, because they can provide much longer pain relief. Though for pain management, many people end up using both, an immediate release to get faster relief, while waiting for the time released ones to kick in. The time released Oxycodone, which is available under the name brand Oxycontin, slowly releases the narcotic medication over a 12 hour time period. Since it's not all released at once, this also helps avoid the euphoric, high feeling for... ...

If I Normally Take 40mg Of Oxycodone What Would Be The Equivalant Dose Morphine Ir
2 Replies RSS
what is the eqivalent dosage of morphine vs oxycodone? I currently take 40mgs of oxycodone, and would like to change to MS IR, what amount of MS IR is equal to 40mgs of Oxycodone? ## Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so an equivalent dosage would be 60mgs. However, you do need to make sure you taking the same formulation, since both Oxycodone and Morphine come in regular, instant and time released formulations. Thus, if you're taking the regular release formulation of Oxycodone, then you would need a regular release formulation, in that dosage, of the Morphine. The only 40mg Oxycodone available is the extended release, Oxycontin. Due to the dangers of overdose, from getting too much medication, at once, it is highly unlikely that your doctor is going to give ... ...

Unfortunately though, I don't have an answer for you. Shortages are very common this time of year, because all manufactures have a limit on how much of any controlled substance they can manufacture each year and once they hit that number, they can't manufacture and ship any more, until the new year, when they receive their new allotment amount. This was done to try to keep better track of the supply to curb theft and diversion. However, most years the projected demand is exceeded by the actual number of prescriptions written and many companies run out early. The best suggestion I can ... ...

Hi I suffered a L1/L2 complete SCI injury some 4 years ago. After 6-7 weeks when the spinal shock wore off I noticed I had a burning pain in my lower groin area even though I can't really feel much below my hips, we thought maybe it was a UTI but all showed negative. It was diagnosed as chronic nerve pain and it never goes away, I get acute nerve pains in my legs ontop of this cronic pain. I have been taking 10mg Oxycodone four to five times per day and methadone 10mg once a day for the chronic pain + 800mg Gabapentin three times a day for the burning in my legs. The only way I have been able to keep my doses so low over the years is by being very hard on myself as to when to take the pain meds but as hard as I have tried I'm now going up to around 60mg total Oxycodone per day a... ...

Tylenol is just a name brand for Acetaminophen, so they are the same thing. And yes, Oxycodone is available by itself in instant release, regular release and time released formulations. Have 80 mg oxycodone but scared to take that much, can I cut in half,? Quarters? ## Hello, Richie! How are you? No, Oxycontin is a time released formulation of Oxycodone and cutting it could cause you to get too much of the medication, at once. It should be taken intact. I'm taking norco 10 mg 3 x day. I was taking 5 mg oxycodone along with the Norco at different times. I was starting to get no pain relief. It's making me sick and not relieving the pain. Can I cut the er morphine pills in half safely. I'm still taking the Norco as needed. I've been taking pain Meds for 7 yrs for chronic pain and I can't go on like this. ## No, the ER means that they are time released, so it is not safe to cut or break them. Doing so could cause you to get too much of the medication at once, which creates the risk of overdose. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it ha... ...

How many Vicodin 10-300's is lethal for a 220lb. Male?
1 Reply RSS
Don't want to overdo it. But pain is horrific. How many Vicodin 's(10-300) are potentially lethal? ## Hi John, While there's no exact number of pills for a potentially lethal dose, I can tell you that for your own safety, the FDA recommends NO MORE THAN 4000mgs a day of Acetaminophen, and that is to be spread out over a 24hr period - NOT to be taken all at once. They also state in their warning that anything over 325mgs in a sitting has been shown to cause liver damage/failure; which from my understanding can eventually lead to death if liver damage is severe. So why don't you just ask the doctor for something stronger if Vicodin isn't cutting it? A lot of chronic pain patients are prescribed much more potent medications WITHOUT Acetaminophen, such as Oxycodone, Opan... ...

I currently take Watson 387 Vicodin. I'm wondering if porcacet, or Oxycontin, or any other pain medications might help my back pain better, and so i don't build up a tolerance to Vicodin maybe i should rotate every so often. I have a back injury related to a car accident. Any advice on alll the different pain medications on the market I'll appreciate it thanks..Scott ## Alternating medications is a possibility you will need to discuss with your doctor. This works well for some people, but it really depends on how your body reacts to any given medication and how fast you build up a tolerance to it. The problem, however, with switching to Oxycodone is that it is much stronger than the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin, so once you use it, switching back to the Hydrocodone is likely t... ...

I have been taking hydrocodone and oxycodone for chronic severe pain for several years and I feel completely satisfied when I can take the proper dosage established for my pain. I do not feel a need to raise the dose of this medication, once the right dose was given to me, that seemed high enough to "fix" my pain, that dose seemed to work, as long as I took it as prescribed, I was so thankful to be able to move again and not feel the serious pain getting in my way, it worked like a charm, and I really never felt any need to increase the amount or frequency of this medication even though I have taken it pretty much the same for almost 17 years, for extremely aggressive Osteoarthritis, with a lot of bone and joint damage, with fibromyalgia. I have had to have several joint replace... ...

I have a chronic pain condition which is Interstitial cystitis (IC) I will not take oxycodone because I was on it for 4 years and it worked great for my pain but I had to keep upping the dosage and became addicted. So now I am on a different pain medication called the Butrans patch and even though it doesn't help as much as I would like it to, it helps with my daily life. So I am able to still do normal daily things. I also have back pain, I am not sure what it is from but the patch does nothing for that either.
