I got a prescription for oxycodone 5mg/5ml solution 1800ml total I am confused on how much is actually in the bottle . My doctor has just switched me from oxycodone HLC five MG tablets to Norco which also contains acetaminophen. I just returned from the emergency room for a fall i took through the ceiling, and landed on a staircase about 12 foot fall. Anyway they gave me a shot of dilada 2 mg and another several hrs 1 mg the 1 mg had no effect so they gave me 1 more mg. I am 80 years old and use oxycodone very sparingly for neuropathy. To help prevent possible dependency I usually take one 5mg oxycodone about four hours apart. I weigh 210 pounds and my prescription allows two 5mg pills every six hours, but that dose clouds my thinking even though it does manage pain better. I usually get by with taking one 5mg oxycodone pill no more than three times each day beginning from about 10am. Getting up each morning is the most difficult; If I take two 325mg Butalbital tablets upon arising I seem to get a little boost, so that I can function enough to get going without too much discomfort. Cheaper by prescription. ## @da, Based on my research, a quantity of 30 oxycodone 5mg pills from the pharmacy may cost an 'estimated' $20 (cash out-of-pocket) without the presence of insurance or savings cards. However, discount cards tend to make these tablets a lot cheaper when you go the legal route; often times cutting the cost in half. So that may be something to factor into consideration if you are getting them from a retail pharmacy. You might even want to call them up first just to verify the total before moving forward.
