My girlfriend died from aspirating on vomit from xanax and i'm trying to find out how much she might have taken for such a fatal dose? ## Hello, Burlington! How are you doing? I am so very sorry for your loss. But such a death would not be directly attributed to the amount of Xanax she took, but rather just to the fact that she likely took too much, passed out and then got sick, so she choked. Thus, there is no answer that I can really give you on how much would have been required, because it can vary from person to person. She could have taken 3 or 4, or as many as 20 to 30. Did the coroner do an autopsy? If so, were there any toxicology reports?

Dr states they are equal. 1 mg clonazapam is to 1 mg of Xanax . Totally different He stopped 2 mgs a day without any concern of withdrawal because he gave me 3 mg a day of clonazapam. I've been on 2mg xanax BID, somaqQID, and Lortab QID for about 2.5 yrs plus. My tolerence to the xanax is goign up, so that got me interested in the XRs. I have a freind that has taken 12 xanex bars he has taken 8 in the past. He is very troubled and I want to know how much can a body take when they are use to taking so many at a time. ## here is the deal. benzos react wtih your GABA receptors. and taking that many bars is NOT good for your brain chemistry because it alters it. Meaning your GABA receptors wont fire liek you use to due to the receptor expecting some sort of drug. So if no drugs come than the GABA receptors cant produce naturally the right dose. how can you check to see if the pills are real or fake(besides looking at them) ## ## If they are the name brand, from the U.S., then twe's post should be helpful. There are, however, also many generics on the market and many available from foreign countries, as well. The legal, U.S. generics are required by law to have some type of imprint on the tablet, to enable their identification. If the tablets you are questioning are from the U.S. and have an imprint, then if you post back with it, I can easily look it up for you to see if it contains Alprazolam. I have been on 2mg bars 4 times daily for over 5 yrs. When taken as prescribed it is the best. I have bipolar disorder and severe anxiety. Just ask doctor first and be willing to try other benzos cause one might work better for u. ## That is a huge habit. You are hooked. I am hooked. I'm not going to judge you at all. However what happens if you run out, or the doctor moves or stop practicing. Xanax is a wonder drug, but is very hard to stop, perhaps the hardest drug? You must experience it to know how lovely Alprazolam is on the way out. Getting back to you, 8 mg a day is a lot and so many here have lost their prescriber for a variety of reasons. Good luck!
