I've been on 2mg xanax BID, somaqQID, and Lortab QID for about 2.5 yrs plus. My tolerence to the xanax is goign up, so that got me interested in the XRs. Also, are there really 3mg BARS? b/c i've had the green bars and it is absolutely confirmed it's 2mg xaniez. ## Yes, there is a Xanax XR 3mg available, since it is an extended release, it is usually only taken once a day. Have you discussed this issue with your doctor? You may need to just try a different medication. ## I've never seen them but have been told that they're 3mg Xanax that look like green triangles

My girlfriend died from aspirating on vomit from xanax and i'm trying to find out how much she might have taken for such a fatal dose? ## Hello, Burlington! How are you doing? I am so very sorry for your loss. But such a death would not be directly attributed to the amount of Xanax she took, but rather just to the fact that she likely took too much, passed out and then got sick, so she choked. Thus, there is no answer that I can really give you on how much would have been required, because it can vary from person to person. She could have taken 3 or 4, or as many as 20 to 30. Did the coroner do an autopsy? If so, were there any toxicology reports?

I've been taking one .25 Xanax 3-4 times a week at bed time due to a staggered work schedule. This is going on 6 months now,it helps tremendously with sleep but I'm a bit concerned about how safe this is.Is such a small dose over many months anything I should worry about? I was taking xanax for my anxiety disorder. My doc switched me to buspar. I don't like it and I do not ! It is helping. I know xanax works for me and I did take it responsibly. Medication usually do not work on me - not even morphine when I was in pain at the hospital. Sleeping pills do not affect me. However xanax worked a little but that was a relief as I have insomnia. I took 3 last night or maybe the night before - I don't know. All I know is I work up at 7:00 p.m the next day or the next day. I guess it worked but it scared me. What happene? I am going to France for 51 days and my physician has prescribed enough Xanax to take with me for the trip, but the pharmacy says it is not legal to dispense that much all at once. It is obviously impractical to return to the US for a refill. Is there some exception so I can go on this trip? ## Depends on how the Doctor wrote the prescription.
