How Many Days Dry Cough Antibiotic Should Be Take

I had cold with bad cough and I took antibiotic Augmentin 650 mg for 5 days. However, dry cough is still persisting and irrtating even not able to sleep. ## Since it is an antibiotic, it is only effective for treating infections and a cold is caused by a virus, so antibiotics do not help. Have you consulted a doctor? ## I'm 30 yrs suffering from cold and dry cough from last 1 week. I had Alerid D,thrice a dy from last 2 days but seems no resuult. Pl let me know what medicine is to be taken... ## sir , i am a chronic cough patient from 6 month , i have taken many antibiotics and antiallergenic drug ! but aftr 3 days the cough become alergic again !! SUggest me a group of antibiotic and allergic dosing !!
