I have some IBuprofin. 800 and can u take 2 at a time for severe back pain ## Dear Redfire, I would not recommend taking more then one at a time. Taking one is like taking 4 Advil, so taking 2 is like taking 8 Advil. It could cause problems with you're stomach, not 2 mention dangerous effects. ## The maximum recommended dosage of Ibuprofen for adults is listed at 800mgs, to be taken four times daily. Given the increased risk of side effects, it probably would end up doing more harm than good if you were to take two of these. One thing I would suggest trying as a form of adjunctive therapy is essential oils. Many of them are really great at relieving sore muscles and aches. I have been taking 300mg trazodone at night for the past 8 years. Is this too long? Can I go on indefinitely taking it? I am frightened of rocking the boat by stopping it. The FDA warns that per dose in any 8 hour period, you should not exceed 1,000mgs of Acetaminophen and no more than 3,000mgs of it in a 24 hour period. As many as you are prescribed. If this doesn't work you should discuss with your PCP and possibly change to oxycodone 5/325. Even though the amount of aspirin (325mg) is lower than others too much can have adverse effects on your liver and kidneys. They list different dosing and administrative protocols based on whether or not you're using it for panic attacks or seizures, and then narrow it down from there. So it sounds like you may just need to talk with your doctor first before moving forward with treatment. I'm surprised the pharmacist didn't bother to give you a run down on how to take it either. I have a feeling it's solely based on your doctor's discretion... And if that is the case, perhaps your prescribing doctor can provide more specific details on that.
