However in some preparations and combination drugs, such as Percocet, 325mgs of Acetaminophen may be combined with 5-10mgs of Oxycodone for an additive effect on pain relief. From what I hear, the combination of Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen seems to be a common choice for many post operative dental procedures. I believe 10mg is also highest you can get for this particular medication, so I'm guessing the pain is probably pretty severe without this high of a dose.
