How Long Will 1mg Suboxone Last

I'm on 16 mg of Suboxone a day. How long does it take to step down. I don't go see my doctor for 2 more weeks and would like to know. ## Hey guys, just have a question I'm hoping someone can answer... I have been on Subs for approximately 9 months now. Started sub 3 months ago today at 12mg. Started tapering 2 months ago. 4 weeks ago I was at 4mg. and have dropped 1 mg per week. Took my last 1mg this morning. Noticed people been asking about coming off this stuff. I,ll keep you all informed about how my jump feels. Not expecting anything for a few days because of the half life. By the way, it was my sub. drs. taper plan. For 2 weeks I alternated, day 1 8mgs. day2, 4mgs. day3, 8mgs.day4, back to 4mgs. This averages out to 6mgs. Ok..so I've been on Suboxone 8mg strips for 2 years. However, I've been only taking 4mg a day starting a week ago and have only taken 1mg the past 2 days. I have a fentanyl patch because, frankly, I'm tired of suffering with my ungodly back pain. My question is probably predictable, but given the low doses I've taken, if I use the patch tomorrow morning, will I feel the effect? I went on suboxone last Demember, almost exactly a year ago today, and I've been off since late October. My doctor started me on 3 8mg tabs daily which I took every day for about 8 months. I told him 7 months into it I was ready to ween off which i did so in 4 mg increments. i tapered down for about 4 months going down 4mg sometimes in 2 weeks and sometimes in 2 months depending on how I was feeling. The withdrawal during this time was noticable but bearable and made me dread what coming off completely was going to be like. I've been taking only 1mg or less of suboxone for a little over 2 months. I've been off of it for 5 days now but I felt so crappy I had to take a few hydrocodone 10mg each day to get through work. Will this only prolong the suboxone wothdrawls or is it ok to take a few just until the major withdrawls from the subs last? Please help! I was previously on suboxone for three years and relapsed on morphine for about three days now and want to start my suboxone back up, but I'm not sure when to take it. I think I will try 1mg of Subs and see what happens in a few hours and if I'm sick I'll just take another morphine........crazy I thought I was good til they were in my hands again. I take a 1/2 to 1- 8MG strip daily. I have now been prescribed klonopin 1mg at bedtime and will possibly be going up to 2MG in a month or two. I know there are a lot of mixed feelings on benzos and subs but I've been on subs for a pretty good while now and have been diagnosed with lots of health issues recently including epilepsy. I just cannot sleep and the lack of sleep really affects my seizures so the klonopin really is our last resort. We've tried 4 other meds including neurontin (I'm not sure how u spell that lol). I never really even in my active addiction days was a fan of benzos. So will this be ok to take? My Dr obviously thinks so... but I'd like other opinions I suppose. How long does Suboxone stay in your system after your last dose? ## Sub has a half life of 36 hours. So if you are taking 4mgs per day and stop taking it, one half or 2mgs will still be present in your system 36 hours later. Then 1mg 36 hours after that, and 1/2mg 36 hours after that, and so forth and son on. ## Most narcotics can be detected in a urine test for 48 to 72 hours, after you last take it, but this can vary, depending on how long you have been taking it and how high of an amount. It will clear out faster for people who haven't been taking it regularly at high doses, than it will for those who have been using large amounts on a regular basis. I was on subixone treatment under a doctors care. I had to stop because im in drug court. I took 1Mg to slow down withdraws. Will it show up 2 days later on bupernorphine stick test? ## Yes, it likely will if they are looking for it and such a test usually looks for even low doses of it, since it isn't commonly used in very high ones. My husband gives me my meds because i put myself in rehab for opiates in 99. I take suboxone and never abuse it. Also recently diagnosed bipolar. Psych dr will only give me klonopin 0.5. I have terrible anxiety. I had no problem getting in the safe. He is so good to me and if he finds out it will hurt him. My dr refuses to give me the 1mg. I have a very high tolerance to all meds. I am writing this ONLY to give insight on what I have gone threw. For the last few weeks I have read about everything I can online. I was addicted to oxycodone for 3 years making monthly trios to Florida to get my scripts which would be roughly 300 30mg oxycodone and 90 2mg Xanax. Well, I knew that had to stop after 3 unsuccessful attempts at rehab I finally stuck with it and was placed on suboxone 8mg sublingual films.
