Started sub 3 months ago today at 12mg. Started tapering 2 months ago. 4 weeks ago I was at 4mg. and have dropped 1 mg per week. Took my last 1mg this morning. Noticed people been asking about coming off this stuff. I,ll keep you all informed about how my jump feels. Not expecting anything for a few days because of the half life. Just to let you know I didn,t feel much bettween tapers until I got down to 1mg. and I gotta tell you that it was just about nothing. Not thinking jump will be too bad, maybe mild discomfort I hope. I know it,ll be nothing like past oxy wds. ## Day 4: Hasn,t been too bad yet. Except for the sleep thing whitch I HAVE been getting some kind of feels like about a med. alcohol hangover. I am writing you at all hours of the night due to my insomnia (my last dose was July 19th at 7pm). When I stopped, I was on 1mg a day (after 6yrs of use and 1.5 yrs of tapering down). It hasn't been easy, but it will get better, and it WILL get better for you too! Life sucks for a couple of weeks, no doubt, but just think of the freedom from dependence when it'... ...

trying to detox from subone have been on 8mgs a day for 15 months need help please thank you. ## Hi confused, I hope I don,t confuse you more but heres what I did when I got down to 8mgs. By the way, it was my sub. drs. taper plan. For 2 weeks I alternated, day 1 8mgs. day2, 4mgs. day3, 8mgs.day4, back to 4mgs. This averages out to 6mgs. I kept this routine up for 2weeks then tapered to 4mgs. From the 4mgs I tapered 1mg. per week. After the last week on 1mg. I stopped completely. I was taking the strips and when I got down to 4mgs. sub dr. prescribed the 2mg strips just because it was easier to cut. Tapering this way was a walk in the park. No wds. bettween tapers. Last week on 1mg I woke up couple times thruout night but went right back to sleep. No problems after that. Been off subs s... ...

how long after taking a suboxone can you use fentanyl patch
6 Replies RSS I've been on Suboxone 8mg strips for 2 years. However, I've been only taking 4mg a day starting a week ago and have only taken 1mg the past 2 days. I have a fentanyl patch because, frankly, I'm tired of suffering with my ungodly back pain. My question is probably predictable, but given the low doses I've taken, if I use the patch tomorrow morning, will I feel the affect? If I do use it, tomorrow morning will be 24 hrs since my last dose of 1mg suboxone. ## Generally, it takes 72 hours for the Naloxone in the Suboxone to process, before you can take other opiates and have them be effective, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, s... ...

Think again before going on suboxone long-term!
3 Replies RSS
I went on suboxone last Demember, almost exactly a year ago today, and I've been off since late October. My doctor started me on 3 8mg tabs daily which I took every day for about 8 months. I told him 7 months into it I was ready to ween off which i did so in 4 mg increments. i tapered down for about 4 months going down 4mg sometimes in 2 weeks and sometimes in 2 months depending on how I was feeling. The withdrawal during this time was noticable but bearable and made me dread what coming off completely was going to be like. Once I got down to 1mg daily I told my doctor that was it and stopped going. The physical withdrawals I felt were like nothing I've ever been through before. Going on this medication after 160-240mg a day oxy habit seemed like a great idea at the time but I a... ...

Will hydrocodone help with suboxone withdrawl
3 Replies RSS
I've been taking only 1mg or less of suboxone for a little over 2 months. I've been off of it for 5 days now but I felt so crappy I had to take a few hydrocodone 10mg each day to get through work. Will this only prolong the suboxone wothdrawls or is it ok to take a few just until the major withdrawls from the subs last? Please help! I don't want to make this process any worse than it has to be ## Hello, Lilly! How are you? You should really get professional help with this issue, that would be the best thing to do. If you continue taking several Hydrocodone tablets each day, you're may just end up trading one addiction for another, which could create an even worse mess for yourself. What types of symptoms were you experiencing? ## I was taking only 2 or 3 hydrocodone 10 a... ...

I was previously on suboxone for three years and relapsed on morphine for about three days now and want to start my suboxone back up, but I'm not sure when to take it. I think I will try 1mg of Subs and see what happens in a few hours and if I'm sick I'll just take another morphine........crazy I thought I was good til they were in my hands again. The last morphine 30 I took was yesterday morning and the last 15 I took was at 11pm last night. Any suggestions? ## Do not take the subs until you feel actual withdrawal symptoms if u take it to soon it will send u into withdrawal with is much worse I waited twenty four hours and it was ## You waited 24 hours and it was fine??? Suboxone and klonopin together
2 Replies RSS
I take a 1/2 to 1- 8MG strip daily. I have now been prescribed klonopin 1mg at bedtime and will possibly be going up to 2MG in a month or two. I know there are a lot of mixed feelings on benzos and subs but I've been on subs for a pretty good while now and have been diagnosed with lots of health issues recently including epilepsy. I just cannot sleep and the lack of sleep really affects my seizures so the klonopin really is our last resort. We've tried 4 other meds including neurontin (I'm not sure how u spell that lol). I never really even in my active addiction days was a fan of benzos. So will this be ok to take? My Dr obviously thinks so... but I'd like other opinions I suppose. I'm a worrier and I have severe anxiety and panic attacks as well and he thinks this ... ...

Pills that look like Clonazepam 0.5
1 Reply RSS
My husband gives me my meds because i put myself in rehab for opiates in 99. I take suboxone and never abuse it. Also recently diagnosed bipolar. Psych dr will only give me klonopin 0.5. I have terrible anxiety. I had no problem getting in the safe. He is so good to me and if he finds out it will hurt him. My dr refuses to give me the 1mg. I have a very high tolerance to all meds. I have ptsd, adhd, bipolar, severe scoliosis that's caused many other spinal issues. Does anyone know of a pill that looks similar to the orange 0.5 clonazepams? I would greatly appreciate it. I take suboxone for physical pain last 10 yrs. Old dr that had no problem prescribing 1 or 2 mg clonazapams for yrs but has retired. Thank you very much. subutex and dilaudid withdrawal

I am writing this ONLY to give insight on what I have gone threw. For the last few weeks I have read about everything I can online. I was addicted to oxycodone for 3 years making monthly trios to Florida to get my scripts which would be roughly 300 30mg oxycodone and 90 2mg Xanax. Well, I knew that had to stop after 3 unsuccessful attempts at rehab I finally stuck with it and was placed on suboxone 8mg sublingual films. I weaned myself down to 2mg then 1mg (weaning from 2mg to 1mg was hell for me) I couldn't sleep, eat, I was so irritable I couldn't stand myself. So I decided weaning down wasn't for me at this point im jumping off and I did. I did it for a week and although after about 5 days I was a tad better it was horrible on day 8 I ended up with kidneystones, hydro nep... ...

for how long will suboxone show on a urine test?

Hey guys. i just took like 1mg of suboxone (monday) and i have a urine test on thursday. i know that they will test me for buprenofrin. is there any chance it will get out in 3 days? if you got personal experiences of this, please tell me. ## Like most other narcotics, the Buprenorphine in Suboxone is usually detectable for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. There is, however, no precise time frame, because individuating factors are always going to play a role, such as your overall health, metabolism, activity levels and fluid intake. will 1Mg make me fail (buprenorphine)

I was on subixone treatment under a doctors care. I had to stop because im in drug court. I took 1Mg to slow down withdraws. Will it show up 2 days later on bupernorphine stick test? ## Yes, it likely will if they are looking for it and such a test usually looks for even low doses of it, since it isn't commonly used in very high ones. It's usually detectable for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. Learn more Suboxone details here. Are there any other questions or comments? ...

how long does sub. stay in your system after your last dose ## Sub has a half life of 36 hours. So if you are taking 4mgs per day and stop taking it, one half or 2mgs will still be present in your system 36 hours later. Then 1mg 36 hours after that, and 1/2mg 36 hours after that, and so forth and son on. ## Most narcotics can be detected in a urine test for 48 to 72 hours, after you last take it, but this can vary, depending on how long you have been taking it and how high of an amount. It will clear out faster for people who haven't been taking it regularly at high doses, than it will for those who have been using large amounts on a regular basis. If you have a prescription and are taking it under a doctor's supervision, all you have to do is inform them of this when you go in ... ...
