I have rosacea. It was under control with Metrogel. It has flared up badly. I have started taking Brintellix, and I want to know if Brintellix causes rosacea. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you've had. Brintillex has been known to cause facial redness, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, restlessness and dry mouth. If it's caused your rosacea to flare that badly, you might need to try a different medication. Have you spoken to your doctor about it, yet?

I took a peritol that I ordered online, and it had cyproheptadine in it. Now my chest hurts, I have trouble breathing, drowsiness, fear, nervousness, etc., How long will it take to get completely out of my system? Would it get out my system faster by drink plenty of fluids? ## Hi Redhead, I'm sorry to hear about the symptoms you are experiencing. That's the problem with purchasing medication online, it's often illegitimate, unsafe and can result in serious health issues. Have you had a reaction to Cyproheptadine before? According to some medical information referenced from nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002617.htm, activated charcoal may be used in the case of a Cyproheptadine overdose. I've taken activated charcoal as a supplement before and it shouldn't be di...

I am taking doxytet and I have dark spots caused by pimples on my face. How long will it take for them to fade away completely? I have been taking them for 3 days now. Is there any hope? ## 3 days is far too soon to expect to see a different, it may take 4 to 5 weeks. If they are scars, though, this may not help. Did your doctor prescribe this for you? The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

is dylatin and dyladid the same medication OR is it used for the samething??? ## Hello, Rony! How are you? No, they are not the same, nor do they treat the same things. Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. But Dilantin contains the active ingredient Phenytoin, it is an anticonvulsant. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and mood swings. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi my friend drank 12 squirts of Triclosan and has lost memory and brain cells through it will brain cells grow back and will she get her memory back too, she was in a very deep depression at the time ...

Will my brain return to normal.. It effects my spirit negativly and im very lethargic ## The lethargy is really normal, when you're on any type of antipsychotic, that's part of how they work. And yes, you should eventually return to normal, but I can't give you a better idea of when, since I don't know how long you were on it, or what your dosage was. Learn more Paliperidone details here. Can you post back with more details?

I have been using Pax for a few years for anxiety. A month ago I was told Pax wiil not be available in Sout Acrica untill middle 2017. The dr subscribed Urbanol 10 mg Twice a day. I only drink 10 mg at night. Been drinming it for 2 nights . How long will it take for by system to get used to the new pill to work? ## If you aren't taking the dose your doctor has instructed you to take then that is likely why your body is not getting used to it, yet, you likely aren't taking an equivalent dosage. Taking the amount your doctor has prescribed will likely help. The U.S. FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and irritability. Are you on any other medications?

I have been taking Tramadol since Monday . I took five 50 mg pills since Tuesday and had an allergic reaction to them - all of the symptoms. How long will I suffer from the reaction? ## Hello, Linda! How are you doing? I'm sorry about what happened. What symptoms did you experience? It might take a week or so, before things start to ease up and you feel better. You should speak to your prescriber about it, to make sure it's listed in your medical records and not prescribed for you, again. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Hello! my boyfriend has took a half of subsolv 5.7 for about a week or so now. I've been taking losartan for 4 weeks for terrible joint pain. I'm going to stop taking it since it has only been a month. Can I just stop it abruptly? ## Losartan is used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. It will not do anything to help with joint pain. And according to FDA reports, stopping it abruptly can create the risk of rebound elevated high blood pressure and elevated heart rate. Are you on any other medications? ## Losartan, i have been taking the 100mg for a week for high blood pressure and i have at least 1/2 to 3/4 of the simptoms in the side effects... its giving major back pain... how fast in your opinion can i stop this??? ## My father has been taking losartan 25 mg for 2 months and started getting a dry cough for a month now... My friend is currently pregnant and has been on suboxone for almost a year now..illegally. . She is winging herself off and wants to know how long it will be in her bloodstream or the babys bloodstream ## Hi, Neina! How is she doing? Your friend should really not be trying to get off of this medication without medical help. It is far too risky for both her and the baby. Doing it too fast could cause severe withdrawal symptoms that could put both of their lives in danger. And if she stays on it, there is a risk of the baby being born addicted. She really needs to tell her doctor and get help. ## Hi. I work for an ob/gyn & I agree w Verwon 100%. If she starts "weening off" too fast it could cause her & the fetus serious problems. I have been on hydrocodone for five years 10 mg for what started out for back pain. The time has come for me to stop since it has become an addiction. I will be out Friday 05/11/2012 and will begin to detox myself @ home. just wanting to know how long they take to get out of your system, and things to do to help while going through the with drawl process. ## While I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I have read that it could be in your system for about a week or so (depending on a number of factors). Usually for drugs like this, I think the safest way to stop taking them is to taper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of seve...

My 8 yro son took miralax for 10 days for his constipation. He stopped taking it 2 days ago and is still having very loose bowel movements almost hourly. How long will this continue? I'm at my wits end, his bottom is getting very sore. ## In my opinion, it would be good for him to try and consume more binding foods, such as bananas, to help slow down and regulate his bowel movements. It's difficult to say how long one can experience loose bowel movements, since everyone reacts differently to these types of medications. Was the Miralax dose taken exactly as indicated on labeling (it says 'once each day' on Miralax's webpage)? I only ask because it does sound like he had a bit too much. I know this response is a day after your post, so I do hope that he is feeling bett...

I was perscribed nasonex about a month ago. About a week after taking it I got really ill with flu luke symptoms. Atfer the aches and pains in the body went away ive been left with dizziness and bad headaches. I stopped taking it a week ago and still have these symptoms. I also had the odd spell of blurry vision but haven't had that since I stopped taking it. I want to know how long my head is going to feel scrambled like this. Its very fustrating, my doctor never warned me about any side effects. Ive been learning to drive and got all these problems just before the test and felt awful on the day. I failed on one silly mistake, which possibly wouldn't have happened if I had a clear head. Basically nasonex has ruined me and stopped me being interested in my hobbies. When will I f...

I've been taking 50 mg of nortriptyline for chronic nerve pain for a few years now. How long can be until I notice a difference? ## Hello, Coofoo! How are you? It may take 3 to 4 weeks, before the new dosage reaches its full level of efficacy in the body. The FDA classifies this medication as a tricyclic antidepressant and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. After one fentanyl 50 (much less than 18hrs on skin till he ripped it off) my boyfriend is so sick. He does not want to get out of bed because every move makes him more nauseous. He has thrown up all day. Doesn't know how as he hasn't even held down a sip of water or even ginger ale. I tried to get him to eat a piece of toast and the smell of it made him throw up. He hates pain meds as they usually make him feel horrible. He had back surgery in 08, has had inj's in lower back 3 times in past year. His PC dr has given him Lyrica this week before this fentanyl. He stopped it as he just wanted to sleep. He is scheduled for an MRI on Friday. How long will he be this sick? ## I am so sorry about the side effects he experienced. I want to have a few drinks this weekend and I was wondering how many days I should be off. ## Hello, Viiby! How are you? It would really be best to stay on your medication and forgo the alcohol. It tends to exacerbate the side effects, so it could make you more dizzy, drowsy and nauseous than usual. Even if you stop taking it, you're likely going to experience some withdrawal effects, which will probably also be worsened by the alcohol. If your doctor approves of your imbibing, then please make sure that you aren't driving. Viibryd has a half-life of 24 to 25 hours and it takes 5 to 6 half-lives to be fully processed out of your body, so you'd be looking at needing a break of at least 5 to 6 days, but as I said, that doesn't do away with the possible withdrawal effects....

I have been taking Chantix for about a month now and decided tonight that I must stop. From day one I have been nauseated and increasingly depressed. I have a history of depression and anxiety - I have also began to notice that when I eat a lot of sugar, I get a rush of energy and then within an hour or so I feel terrible. Is it okay to just stop this medication and how long will it take to be out of my system? ## Hello, Pinky! How are you doing? It may take a week or two, before you start to feel back to normal. However, that reaction to eating a lot of sugar is normal and may continue. It's just not good for our bodies to overdo it. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi there I have been on citalopram for 6 years. I recently withdrew from that and started taking 75mg with 10mg of citalopram last week and was feeling ok. Now i have stopped the citalopram and am on 150g of effexor. For the last few days I have been feeling a lot worse than i originally was I am not motivated and feeling very depressed. Is this normal? will it start workinng. I really don't want to try another one I have already tried 4 different ssris. Fingers crossed this goes away ## You are most likely experiencing a bit of a double whammy, side effects from starting the Effexor, as well as withdrawal effects from stoping the Citalopram. It will likely take 4 to 5 weeks for things to settle down and for you to be able to tell how well this will work for you. The FDA lists its t...

However the last 3 months ive been having tight chest pains, been for ecgs xrays etc, all clear..doc prescribed muscle relaxant which works a little bit but I find if i take half a zopiclone it really eases off the tightness immediately.
