can alcoholics be given restyl during sober periods and what could be the effects if such a person is having a higher BP reading? ## Restyl contains the active ingredient Alprazolam and most doctors will not give it to someone with an alcohol problem, due to the risks to the liver. I started taking Ampyra 3 weeks ago. There was improvement in my walking and less fatigue within a couple of days. But it definitely makes the neuropathy worse in my legs and feet. I've always had that symptom with my MS (22 years) but it is much stronger and more painful now. Sleeping with that is very difficult and I'm barely feeling my feet and legs to drive. I also wonder, like a lot of people, if the side effects will subside after time. My doctor actually advised me to take one pill every 24 hours instead of 12 hours. That helped a little...but I think I'm going to take one every other day! What about a smaller dose??!! Maybe a 5 mg tablet? (& I know you can't break a pill in half because of the timed-release issue) I want to continue to take Ampyra - but, if t... ...

I have a bottle of liquid Vicodin that expired in 2010 will it still work for pain ## Hi Karina, I would Not chance taking any medication that has expired . Especially after 4 years. It's not recommended. It can lose its effect or just plain go bad. ## There's actually a lot of conflicting information around the topic of expired medication, but according to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. The conclusion was that 90% of those drugs remained effe... ...
