How Long Should Someone Be On Hydrocodone

I have diabetic neuropathy and uncontrolled sugar levels. I have been on norco for about four years and now my doctor said she has cut my prescription in half and sometimes won't refill it at all because she said it is dangerous if your sugars are out of control. is there a such a thing as a thirty milligram hydrocodone ## Not in any of the standard prescription formulations, the only way someone would get this is if their doctor ordered it and they had them made from a special compounding pharmacy, then it would be a capsule. The standard dose of Hydrocodone by itself only goes up to 5mgs and in tablets with Acetaminophen, it is available in up to 10mgs. My orginal script was a white oblong pill with imprint m367, however just got refill and the pill is yellow with imprint 170 on it, I can not find this any where. The script is for hydrocodene 10-325, Took them back in the pharmacy and they said it was the same pill just another manfacturer.Thought they should at least change the lable incase I got pulled over. Hello, I know someone who is prescribed Hydrocodone-- 10mg-325 acetaminophen mg and Morphine-15mg. This person said on a "good day" they take 60mg of hydrocodone which would be 1950 mg acetaminophen as well as the 30 mg of morphine a day- again on a good day. I do not know much about all of this- so my question is- how dangerous is this? Thanks for all your help! ## It being dangerous, or not, depends on the person and their tolerance to opiates. If they have been taking them for awhile and their doctor has prescribed them this way, things are most likely fine. I have been on Hydrocodone for a fractured neck from a motorcycle accident. I am now off after having terrible withdrawal symptoms. This drug is very very addictive and your system will become immune to it very quickly if taken long term. I am now on Ultram which is a form of narcotic but not addictive. I'm confused on the red liquid hydrocodone. Two of My child had tonsils removed at different times. The 1st one got the liquid Lortab, that was yellow and thicker. What they look like is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer, so each one made by a different company will look different and even within a company how they appear will vary according to the dosage. I need to know what they put in this medication that has my U/A coming up positive for morphine and oxycodone. I dont understand because I dont take these two drugs. I took my first Contrave this morning and it will be my last! I am on long-term hydrocodone due to spinal stenosis. My doctor told me I would have more pain due to the opioid blockers in Contrave. However I got hit with stomach cramps, severe diarrhea, chills, and terrible nausea (sitting on the loo with my head in a waste basket). Can I take hydrocodone for gout pain? ## Yes, you can take hydrocodone for any kind of pain. Just make sure you are taking your own medication & not someone else's. lol seriously, though, they have other meds for gout, Allopurinol which is for acute gout, the kind in a flare up, and colchicine, which is to control gout for the long term. I would talk to your doc about those first. But for temporary use, ask your doc about a low dose of hydro just til the flare up eases.

Walgreens filled for me this time and b4 giving it to me asked "your allergic to tramadol? But you've taken norco?" Being in a hurry I didn't think about it..but I've had to take 2 and I'm itching and breaking out soo I think I'll have to ask them about that ## They are different medications, however, when someone discovers they are allergic to one medication, there is always a risk that they may find more they are allergic to, as well.
