My dr lied to me and said she was giving me 2mg and .5 of oral dilaudid. When I explained .5 didn't do s*** for me last night, she said she would up the doses so cold get some sleep. I was up till after 4 am crying for the last 3 weeks. ## Hello, Heather! How are you? There is no .5mg of oral Dialudid available in the U.S. The dosing starts at 2mgs. Hi. I have been taking Dilaudid ER pills for several years now. I do not abuse them and take around 4 of the 8mg pills a day. I cannot find any information online regarding the sexual side effects that Dilaudid may have for females. It seems to be that reaching an orgasm is near impossible now... I am also on Opana so I am trying to figure out which is the culprit. Maybe they both are contributing factors but maybe there is information out there in the community that can help me. I have never had this problem before and it is frustrating me a lot. Any insight or advice would be appreciated. ## Eh man, it's the opana. I'm on opana er 40mgs an yep it will ruin you every time :-) :-) :-) :-) ## It may be caused by either one, or both. It is a hazard of using such medications, they ...

Why won't the Rx. Do what the Dr. Says. He fills we need that medication , what gives the Rx. To power to so no, we are not filling that prescription ## What reason did the pharmacist give for not filling it? It could be that they don't carry the medication, they are worried about how much was prescribed, the doctor may be flagged in their system, the patient it was written for might be flagged in their system…. it's hard to say, but it is up to the discretion of the pharmacist. The patient's option, of course, is to go try a different pharmacy. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I used 8mg of subutex yesterday approximately 10 in the morning. It is now 4:20 in the afternoon the following day. When can i take dilaudid again and feel its effects? ## @mammonal, From what I could gather online, it'll likely depend on how long you've been using either medication for. However due to Buprenorphine's long half-life, most comments I've seen suggest waiting at least 3 days or more before interchanging between the two (basically until you feel the onset of withdrawals). This period of time should allow you to get the most out of your Dilaudid when you do end up taking it. I hope this helps! ## I have been clean for 6 months. Today, (Thursday) i took what i thought was tylenol for a headache but it turned out to be an 8mg subutex. I have a drug panel on Tue...

My doctor recently put me on long acting 12mg dilaudid and short acting 8mg dilaudid to take in between. Can I take the short acting dilaudid even though I just took the long acting? I don't wanna overdose. Please help. ## How long have you been taking opiates and at what doses? The NIH warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How much is too much really depends on your tolerance to opiates, and whether or not you follow your doctor's prescribing instructions. Are you on any other medications?

I was wondering I'd there was suggestions on what I should ask the Dr, I don't want to seem like I'm drug seeking but what other medication do you think could help me? ## How often do you take the Dilaudid? There is a higher dose of the Fentanyl available, that you may be able to try. However, it leaves you nowhere to go, since it is the highest available. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I take the Dilaudid every 4-6hr ## Im sure you found an answer by now but in case you didn't.......li just started with the fentanyl patch 50 mcl ( and ju...

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. If the Oxymorphone works well for you, then it might be best to stick with it. Why does Rhodes make different generic 8mg Dilaudid. I have had it round and now I have it with two P's on one side and an eight on the other side. And it's in a peculiar shape. I know they were bought out by Purdue. But why do you need different generic pills for the same exact strength??? ## Hello, Amber! How are you? Sometimes the company listed on your pharmacy bottle aren't the actual manufacturers, they are just licensed distributors. Thus, it is always best to go by the imprints, rather than the pharmacy label. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. What were the markings on the round ones?

Is it alright to combine breakthrough medication (ie; one 10/325 percocet, one 8mg dilaudid), while wearing a 25 mcg fentanyl sq patch? ## Have they all been prescribed for you? Generally, only one breakthrough medication is prescribed with a long-acting medication, such as the Fentanly patch. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as constipation, dry mouth, dizziness, and headache. Taking too much could result in overdose, which carries the risk of being fatal, so you should only take the medications, and doses that your doctor has instructed you to take. What is stronger, a Dilaudid 8mg or Opana 10mg? I was taking Dilaudid 8mg every 6 hrs for six months and then the pain would come back in three hours. My doctor has switched me to Opana 10mg er and this is the second day... I am in so much pain. How long will it take for Opana to be effective? I'm suffering, help. ## Hello, Dana! How are you doing? I am so sorry that you're in pain. You need 10.67 mgs of the Opana to equal each 8mgs you were taking of the Dilaudid, so the 10mg ER is not an equivalent dose, which likely explains your problem. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you contacted your doctor? You need to let them know that this dose...

what is the length of duration, strength and usage of 30mg morhpine compared to 8mg Dilaudid? ## Everyone's body reacts differently to different types of opiates. For me, 30mgs of Morphine doesn't do much for my pain, buts does make me neauseus. On the other hand, 8mgs of Dilauded helps control my pain well for 3 to 6 hours. ## It can also depend on the specifics of each medication, are either of them time released or are they regular release? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. When I was on MS Contin, the time released version of Morphine, I couldn't stay awake, it was horrible.
