I was on hydrocodone, xanax, soma and I was given a fentanyl patch 100mcg due to a fall. It damn near killed me. Because of sheer stupidity, I cut this patch and took a minuscule amount of the gel, evidently an extreme amount went into my system. My nurse at the time (I actually had a HH RN) was there 30 minutes after I took it, I was having chest pain, was very confused. The name is often misunderstood because of how it's pronounced, but it contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone; which is a pretty potent narcotic. The average estimated time frame that Dilaudid can remain detectable in your urine is anywhere from 2 to 4 days.
