i have a script for 40 oxycodone written in July misplaced it now found it is the prescription still good. Live in Howard County MD Can't receive emails however can receive texts ## It should be okay to get it filled, now, most states allow several months, however, only your pharmacist can give you a definitive answer. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have a written prescription from my primary doctor dated 11/20/10 for Hydrocodone. What is the last date it can be filled by a pharmacist? ## Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever and, therefore, a controlled substance, so most pharmacies will not fill it this long past the date it was written. You can ask, because some pharmacy policies vary, but the chance of getting anyone to do so, without approval from your doctor is highly unlikely. I received 2 scripts from my doc, both are wrote the exact same, Norco 10/325 with the exact same dosage and quantity, but I read that the second one, the doc has to write "do not fill til" on it and he didn't, what does that mean? Please help.. I have been on narcotics for chronic back pain for 19 years and just moved to VA. I need to find a good Dr. that is not afraid to continue with my meds. 2017 I have chronic back and sholder pain and I cant fill my prescriptions anywhere in South Florida because all the pharmacies are full to limited alloted. I was given gabapentin after a spinal injury that resulted in severe radiating pain down my legs. Thanks to a great physical therapist, and a lot of hard work, things are better now. Not perfect. But a lot better. I took the gabapentin for two days. The first day I felt fine (all things considered)... but the gabapentin didn't seem to have any real side effects. The second day, I honestly felt like I was on narcotics or something. I could barely move off the couch and, though I have never used heroin, I am very, very familiar with prescription opioids. Is Hydrocodone Apap 10/325 good for pain? ## That would be the narcotic Hydrocodone, and 10mgs is the most you can get these in, and Acetaminophen 325mgs, A narcotic analgesic. My doctor recently left the practice. He was my GP and wrote all my meds including pain meds for my spinal stenosis. The doctor he referred me to is writing them but she is reducing them and told me that the practice is trying to get patients on narcotics over to pain management doctors. I know that many pain management doctors do not write prescriptions and instead do injections, PT, etc. I have been down that road with nothing to show for it.
