How Long Is A Narco Prescription Good For

i have a script for 40 oxycodone written in July misplaced it now found it is the prescription still good. Live in Howard County MD Can't receive emails however can receive texts ## It should be okay to get it filled, now, most states allow several months, however, only your pharmacist can give you a definitive answer. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have a written prescription from my primary doctor dated 11/20/10 for Hydrocodone. What is the last date it can be filled by a pharmacist? ## Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever and, therefore, a controlled substance, so most pharmacies will not fill it this long past the date it was written. You can ask, because some pharmacy policies vary, but the chance of getting anyone to do so, without approval from your doctor is highly unlikely. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other comments or questions? ## A prescription of this type (a schedule III controlled substance) is good for 6 months also it only is refillable 5 times not counting the original fill.

I received 2 scripts from my doc, both are wrote the exact same, Norco 10/325 with the exact same dosage and quantity, but I read that the second one, the doc has to write "do not fill til" on it and he didn't, what does that mean? Is it no good now or I should have filled them both at the same time? ## Hello, Wondering! How are you? You'll need to stop back at your doctor's office to have it corrected. You won't be able to get both filled, because such prescriptions are tracked, via a computerized government database and even trying to get them both filled could result in your becoming red flagged and not being able to get any filled in the future. Please help.. I have been on narcotics for chronic back pain for 19 years and just moved to VA. I need to find a good Dr. that is not afraid to continue with my meds. I take several different pain meds .Any help would be appreciated.. ## @"Comments Submitted"... Since you've written your question over three years ago, I'm not going to go into any of my history at this point. Where in VA are you located. I moved back here from MD in 2007 and had been seeing a PMDR in MD for over eight years. I did find one in VA last December, but had such a bad experience, by the grace of God I was able to get a PMDR close to home in the same office as my orthopedic surgeons. Just let me know if you've found one or not. ## I live in winston salem nc so if u live anywhere near Danvill...

Found one kind of close by, called and was told, yes, they take Medicaid, but that they will NOT write narcotic scripts for Medicaid patients! Isn't this a form of discrimination?!

Addicted to H. Need doctor in Phila who writes RX for methadone. want to work. can't go to clinic everyday ## Hello, Ann! How are you? I'm sorry, but under current laws, a clinic is your only option. Regular doctors aren't allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone suggest a good clinic in that area? ## Yes you can the one on parkside ave opens at 630.. Not too mant Drs these days write for Methadone. Suboxone perhaps There is also a clinic on the border of Ridley and Chester. I would try the suboxone. You can probably find a Dr. on line for thst.

Anyone know where I can get a prescription for norton 10/325? Lost insurance. Need a doctor. ## Hello, Melanie! How are you? Can you please post back with your general location? That would enable someone to recommend a good doctor in your area. Thank you! I was in very bad wreck an insurance is not working an need help with pain an provide document ## @Countryblack, Sorry to hear about the wreck you were in. If you need additional assistance covering the cost your prescription for norco, there's always drug discount cards you can use to help offset the price. MedsChat actually offers a good savings card as well that can cut costs by up to 15 - 75% off at most pharmacies across the US. It's not intended to act as a substitute for insurance, but seems like it would certainly be worth a try nonetheless. You can view/print more details about it here: Rx Savings Card One other thing you ought to know is that many drug manufacturers also offer various types of patient assistance programs for those who meet certain income qualifications...

I think that the Internet is a very useful tool to gain information. I also think that this website provides a good forum for discussion of medications. What troubles me, however, is the huge number of people placing posts asking where they can find a doctor to prescribe large amounts of narcotics, supposedly for pain management. Most allege that their doctors "moved" or "stopped prescribing". I have sincere doubts about these posters. People posting these kinds of questions are rare in reality; doctors don't move without referring patients to other health care providers. Doctors also don't just "stop prescribing" - unless it's for a good reason. One of the good reasons a doctor can stop providing prescriptions is if s/he thinks a patient is taking a ...

I was refused to fill my Dilaudid 8and OxyContin 20 mg prescription do to their good faith Pill policy. can I use their mail order company instead? or am I flag there also.? ## Hello, Sunny! How are you? I'm sorry about what happened. From what I understand, the policy is universal and you'd be listed under it in all stores, as well as for mail order. It would most likely be better for you to go to a different pharmacy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I was given gabapentin after a spinal injury that resulted in severe radiating pain down my legs. Thanks to a great physical therapist, and a lot of hard work, things are better now. Not perfect. But a lot better. I took the gabapentin for two days. The first day I felt fine (all things considered)... but the gabapentin didn't seem to have any real side effects. The second day, I honestly felt like I was on narcotics or something. I could barely move off the couch and, though I have never used heroin, I am very, very familiar with prescription opioids. I have never been that impaired in my life. It honestly scared me. No one else I know who has ever taken this medication has ever experienced anything like this. What gives? ## Hi Stephanie, sorry to hear about your experience with Ga...

Is Hydrocodone Apap 10/325 good for pain? ## That would be the narcotic Hydrocodone, and 10mgs is the most you can get these in, and Acetaminophen 325mgs, A narcotic analgesic. The APAP is just doc and pharmacy speak for Acetaminophen, sometimes these are prescribed to have the Aceta help with pain and inflammation, otherwise, it pretty much just helps them keep the drug on a prescription controlled substance schedule III or IV. There are considered generics for meds such as Anexsia, Hydrocet, Lortab and many others. Hydo and Apap Info Click Here

I'm in generally good health, but I asked my doctor for Vicodin to have on hand for occasional aches & pains and he prescribed 30 tabs (10mg). Question: generally speaking, how often can I ask for a refill without raising a red flag? ## Hello, Jerry! How are you? Unfortunately, there's no hard and fast rule I can give you for this. It really depends on your doctor, how understanding they are and how long they expect that prescription to last. It it was for 'occasional' use, they may expect it last you a few months. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Going on to visit family and just wanted to know if I will be able to when I get there ? ## What part of Florida you going to? ## Helllo, Jonna! How are you? No, you will probably not be able to get it filled there, since they cannot easily verify the validity of the prescription. It would be best to have it filled at home, before traveling. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Xartemis pain medication in naples, fl. Looking for a pharmacy that carries this prescription drug. ## Yes,Cvs does carry when needed .ask pharmacy to stock and stay at that localtion.otherwise ,good luck . I've been on this med for 7 seven months it only helps me a very little. I have two seventy mm rods and six screws in spine.good luck.. ## Xartemis contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Have you been calling the pharmacies to ask if they carry it? I placed an order with legalmeds. Iwant to know if they are honest.Has anyone had a bad or good experiance with them? ## What type of drug did you order? Was it a narcotic such as oxycontin, percocet or vicodin, lortab, lorcet? Did you have a prescription to send with the order? If it was a narcotic and you did not send a prescription or pay to have a consultation with their doctor then chances are....you have been had. ## I used then paid £210 and then the website disappeared they booked my number on the phone I was robbed ## Under federal and state laws in all 50 states. My doctor recently left the practice. He was my GP and wrote all my meds including pain meds for my spinal stenosis. The doctor he referred me to is writing them but she is reducing them and told me that the practice is trying to get patients on narcotics over to pain management doctors. I know that many pain management doctors do not write prescriptions and instead do injections, PT, etc. I have been down that road with nothing to show for it. Does anyone know of a good pain management doctor that will write pain meds but not subject you to a UA every single month or an office visit every single month?
