I took Vicodin last night at 10 pm and I took suboxone this morning at 7 am. Am I clear to take opiates or not? ## Hello, Eric! How are you? My husband had taken 2 vicodin (unsure strength) on a late thursday night (1am ish) for pain, and needed a surprise drug test at 7:30am the following Thursday with his work. I see a back doctor for a slipped disk. I have a surgery scheduled for next month. For the last three months I've gone in to see him to have my Vicodin 7.5's refilled. The pain has gotten so bad I've taken more than the daily dose lately. I know it's a bad thing to do but the pain is incredible. I go to get my next refill next Monday and if he does the mouth swab test again, I will show no Vicodin in my system. My question is: I have an MS Contin 30mg that I could take the night before the appointment. Will this satisfy the mouth swab test, or will he be able to tell it's morphine?
