I took my last dose of Canex V in the morning yesterday. How long does it take to work and when can I be intimate with my husband again? ## Hello Lerato, It is advised that you wait until the infection is completely gone before you are intimate with your husband. This means that you should wait until you are completely finished taking the medication for as long as your doctor instructed. However long your doctor instructed is usually the expected amount of time to fully cure the infection. Good luck and have a great day!

i just started 50mgs of nuvigil like 6 days ago. is this a drug that works right away? i lefted a message for my doc to see if he would increase it and he lefted me a message saying i was to stay on the 50mgs till i see him which is 6 weeks.and then he said something like he wants to see the long term effects.. will i feel better on it in the next 6 weeks or will it stay the same as i feel on it now? ## Hi sparky, Because these medications can affect each person differently, unfortunately there's probably very little one can tell about how you might end up feeling six weeks from now on this 50mg dosage. Some patients in other related threads have reported experiencing more wakefulness within the first few doses. And based off that information, I don't think there's an actual...

I'm switching from zoloft to paxil. I was feeling very bad on zoloft. I'm still on zoloft as my psychiatrist is tapering me off of it by having me cut from 100 to 50 mg for 14 days and then that's it. I've been on the paxil for three days. How long will it take for the paxil to start overcoming the bad side effects and withdrawal of zoloft? ## Hello, Keithman! How are you? About 2 to 3 weeks and perhaps a month, before it reaches its full efficacy level in your body. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and dry mouth. I was wondering how long after taking it is it supposed to start working and is it like the ms contin in that after taking it for a few days will be stronger? ## It should start to help within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it, but it is a time released medication, so you will not feel the full effects all at once. Please respond. I have never taken it and it was just prescribed for me. I have taken other benzos but they don't help my extreme anxiety. Hoping this will. ## These medications typically work within minutes of taking them and don't need to be taken regularly to have their intended effect. That's why the are usually prescribed to be taken 'as needed'. Generally, they should start to have some effect in about 15 to 20 minutes of ingesting it and 45 minutes to an hour for the full effect. Learn more Valium details here. I can't find any info on how long Horizant should take to work. Thank you in advance for any information or feedback on this medication. ## While Horizant does sometimes have some immediate benefits, in many cases it takes about 4 to 5 weeks for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, mood changes, dry mouth, and weight gain. My doctor thought it could bacteria not where it should be. I was not told how long to take the medication but he wants to meet back in 3 weeks. He gave me enough pills to last 3 months. Will this go away sooner than 3 weeks? ## Hello, Alexis! How are you? It is completely normal for your stomach to do that and everyone's does so, occasionally. Its usually due to stomach acid forming gas and may be related to what you've eaten, something you drank, or even not eating as much as usual. Flagyl is an antibiotic, so it will only help with bacterial infections. Its typical side effects, as listed by the FDA,...

Been on Synthroid for years (1990's) never been able to get any good results, felt like I was being poisoned every time I took it, my symptoms were horrible. They can both be taken at the same time, and are often prescribed together, to help lower high blood pressure as fast and as safely as possible. I take lisinopril once a day at 9am. By mistake, I took it last night at about 1 am. Should I miss taking it for the rest of the day? ## What dosage do you take? While it is always best to double check with your doctor, the FDA usually instructs you to skip the next dose, then just resume your normal dosing schedule. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. ## I take losartan 50mg at noon, I notice it takes at least 6 hrs. before I get a good reading. I have chronic pain and take 7.5/500 the usually takes 1-1.5 hours to work ## @Chris, This greatly depends on the person taking the medication. Some people start to feel relief in 20 minutes and some people do not feel it until 2 hours have passed. There are many factors at work here. It can also depend on whether or not you have taken the medication before, how much you have taken before, whether you took them on an empty stomach or not, what your personal metabolism is, if there were other medications taken with it or recently, etc. I think the "average" time is given as 30 minutes to one hour for it to kick in. However if your pain is really that severe, I wonder if the medication's effects would eventually reach a plateau due to an increased tolerance. I'd also take ...
