I have been taking 4mg a day 6 days a week. I'm getting back surgery. Will the suboxone show up in the blood or urine testing for my surgery? If you are not prescribed them, you put yourself in a bad position. If you need the surgery, you have HIPPA law rights meaning your medical is your business and you can tell your doctor anything. If you are worrying about a urine test, then the time span can be much shorter, it will not show in that for several days. It is detectable much longer for blood, tissue or hair tests. Is Methadone completely out of your system in 72 hours, or does it take longer? Since Methadone seems to last longer that 4 - 6 hours, I was just wondering? ## Although your system can rid itself of the methadone within about 72 hours in most cases, traces of it will still be detected in your urine for up to 3 weeks...longer if you get a blood test. ## It took me 3 months to kick methodone. I have been running low on my pain meds the past several months. Last month I took 4 mg suboxone on Sunday and it showed up positive on urine test on Thursday. This month some of my meds were stolen and I ran out even earlier. I got dope sick and took half of an 8mg strip of suboxone. I took 2 mg one evening and another 2 mg the next morning. I have my monthly appointment at pain management clinic this Wednesday morning (15 days after the last 2 mg suboxone taken). Every time I go in to see my Dr he gives me a urine drug test. Today I went in and took my UA. It came back negative for the Suboxone. So I asked to take it again. It also came back negative for Suboxone. I am totally confused. This is the first time this has happened. So he sent me to have bloodwork. I take my Suboxone everyday. what does suboxins show up as in drug screen ## In a standard drug test suboxone should not show up, unless they give you a urine test. I did find that it can stay in your system for 2 - 5 days in urine, up to 90 days in hair, up to 3 days in blood. Hope that helps! Do you have any more questions or information to add?
