Morphine 15 Mg and percs

I took half of a 15mg is it safe to take a percocet? ## Percocet contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and the Oxycodone is also a narcotic, so combining them both could cause the risk of overdose, or even just depression of the central nervous system. Has your doctor prescribed them both? Learn more information on Morphine here and Percocet here. ...

Smaller Darker Blue M 30

Is Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals making a new blue M 30? Earlier today my friend told me that they were making new blue M 30s and he gave me a half to try. From what I can tell it is the real thing but it looks different. Darker Blue, Box M on one side, 30 on the other. It is also smaller about the size of an A. ## Actually, from the reports I'm finding these are listed as being fake and there is no definitive answer on what they contain, so I'd advise you not to take them and to proceed with caution. They are not listed in Mallinckrodt's database, they only list a purple pill with that marking that's a Morphine tablet and the pale blue one that is Oxycodone. Learn more Oxycodone details here. opana vs oxycontin 80 mg
1 Reply RSS
been on oxycontin for 4 years and is not working as well since they switched formula ## There have been many complaints about this. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is actually stronger than Oxycodone, requiring just half the dose. So, if you were taking 80mgs of Oxycontin, you would need just 40mgs of Opana. Since it is a narcotic, the side effect profile is basically the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. pain meds and their equals

My insurance company did not give me a choice recently so my dr. & I had to make different optons for my PM. I was on: Oxycotin CR 60 mg. twice a day along with ~ up to 4 percecot daily, which was: 10/325 mg. Now, I've had to change to: Taking 3 Morphine Sul ER 30 mgs. with still taking up to 4 percecot daily. How does this compare? I'm still having more pain with this newly issue. Should I be taking a stronger mg of the Morphinr Sul. I thought this was a much weaker strength than the Oxycotin cr. Can you explain this to me? Thank you in advance, Eva ## Hello, Eva! How are you? I'm so very sorry that you're in pain. Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so you'd need 90mgs of it to equal each 60mgs you were taking of the Oxycontin, which means... ...

Morphine Sulfate 30mg E653
5 Replies RSS
How different is Morphine Sulfate 30mg E 653 from a 30mg perocet, and is it dangerous to take it like its a percocet or vicodin, is it ok to take in severe cases of plantars fasciitis ## There is no 30mg Percocet, so I assume you're talking about a regular release Oxycodone tablet, whereas Percocet would contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and is only available with a maximum of 10mgs of the Oxycodone. As to a comparison, Oxycodone is actually one and half times stronger than Morphine, so it would take 45mgs of Morphine to equal 30mgs of the Oxcycodone, so you may not get as much pain relief, as you would from the Oxycodone. It is a narcotic, so yes, it can be dangerous to take, just like all of them are and it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dia... ...

someone gave me some big white capsules that has no numbers on them just two small black strips on each side of the pill it has powder in it and someone told me that it was either oxycodone or oxycontine 80mg has anyone ever seen these pills in that form? ## They aren't manufactured U.S. prescription medications, those are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. The only way you get Oxycodone like this in the U.S. would be if it was made by a compounding pharmacy, which makes no sense, because that dosage is available, so a doctor wouldn't have to order it that way. This is most likely just some over the counter product of some type. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone recognize this? ## A capsul half black half... ...

I am currently taking 8 to 10 roxy 30's a day. I have suboxones 8mg/2mg to help get clean+ off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdraws*but im wondering if for the 1st 3=5 days when im having trouble sleeping and feeling clamy if i should take like half of a roxy 30{which i have done in the past}which helps me to sleep and take away the clamy feeling or any other suggestions that u may have*thanx to anyone answering this for me ## Taking the Oxycodone pills with the Suboxone will do you no good, it contains a substance that neutralizes opiates to prevent their abuse during treatment, that is why it throws you into withdrawals. I just had surgery and they gave me endocet 10mg, and I'm getting sick in my belly. I've been on percs or hydros at higher doses because of cancer and nothing has ever done this, so can i take half or is the oxy in one half of the tablet and Tylenol in other half? ## Yes, Endocet is made up of 10 mg oxycodone, and 325 mg of Tylenol (acetaminophen). Have you taken this generic before? You might just need to eat jello or a popsicle or something light with it to alleviate the nausea, and lay down and move around as little as possible after taking it. Maybe these things will help you feel better. A half of a 10 mg. should help you. If not, and you tolerate it ok, then you could follow the same steps I suggested; and take the other half. Good luck and God Bless, hope you feel better ... ...

I have a very light purple almost kinda beige & round pill it has a k on one half and a 57 on the other. It has the same shape and size as a blue roxycodone..Are these just another brand or are the 15mg's? ## HI, Bob! Where did you find them? It seems that your suspicions are correct, but not the dosage. These contain 20mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation and are generics for Roxicodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness. its a capsule white and red with barr on white half and 658 on other half of capsule ## I have a red and white capsule and on the red side is written Barr and the white side is written 658 and I need to know what this is used for. ## This is acetaminophen/Oxycodone ## Tiffany's identification was correct and to add more specifics, it contains 5mgs of Oxycodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet, which is a narcotic analgesic. As such, it does have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Learn more Percocet details here. What To Take For Break Through Pain
3 Replies RSS
I have been on Oxycontin ER 80mg twice a day for almost 7 years and it has been moderately to sometimes completely effective in eliminating my chronic abdominal pain. However, there are times (1-2 times a week, or so) when I can't get the pain under control. Currently, I cut one of the pills in half, which I know I shouldn't do, but it does what I want it to. Considering the strength of the Oxy that I'm on, what would be a better alternative to what I've been doing? I was considering asking my DR for an Rx of OxycoDONE (same thing but faster acting) for the break through pain an, if I do, what strength should I ask for? Or, if that's not a good idea, then what else would you suggest? Any help would be greatly appreciated! THANK YOU! ## Discuss your problem w/ your Dr... ...

If sustained release is it 80 or 240mg ?
2 Replies RSS
My husband and I are having a debate...I take 80mg of oxycontin SR three times daily. Does my narcotic blood level stay at a steady 80mg or 240mg daily? ## Well, it isn't going to say at any 'steady' level, because it's always going to vary somewhat, due to activity, fluid intake, what you eat and etc. But since the doses are split you essentially always have some processing out, when you're adding more, so you'd be looking at close to the 80mgs. Learn more Oxycontin details here. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## Hi Verity, I don't know how much help this will be to your debate, but from what I could gather, the apparent elimination half-life of oxycodone following the administration of OxyContin was 4.5 hours compared to 3.2 hours for immedi... ...

4 Replies RSS
I been taking 1 a day, half in the morning and half in the afternoon. I work a very physical job and suffer from aches and pains. I'm fine at work, but at home need to nap alot.sometimes just hours after I get up. Is this the percocet? ## no, your being tired is a side effect of busting your ass at work. ## I have been reading that breaking the pill in half releases the medication much faster and much more powerful than taking them whole, that could be a factor for wanting to sleep so much along with what Jigga stated about busting your butt at work. ## Percocet contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, so the drowsiness, in this case, has nothing to do with cutting or breaking the pill, as it is a regular release. The drowsiness has to do with the fact that Oxyco... ...

Hydrocodone and oxycontin Metabolize
1 Reply RSS
Do hydrocodone and oxycontin metabolize differently? ## From what I could gather, Oxycodone is extensively metabolized and eliminated primarily in the urine as both conjugated and unconjugated metabolites, while Hydrocodone is primarily metabolized in the liver (though some metabolites may be passed via urine). Also, the half life of each drug is different. Hydrocodone's half life is 3.8 hours and OxyContin tablets exhibit a biphasic absorption pattern with two apparent absorption half-lives of 0.6 and 6.9 hours, which describes the initial release of oxycodone from the tablet followed by a prolonged release. I hope this helps to answer your question! ...
