How Long Does Oxycodone 5 325 Last

How long does Oxycodone 5 325 keep you out of pain before taking another one? ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? It depends on the person and the severity of their pain, but it's generally dosed every 6 hours. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was prescribed percocet 5-325 for a toothache. I haven't taken them in a couple days BT the dizziness hasn't went away and I keep having hot flashes. Is this normal or should I go back to the emergency room?? ## Hello, Heather! How are you feeling? Side effects shouldn't last that long, after stopping them. Have you visited a dentist, about the tooth issue, yet? If you have an infection, it could be what's causing these symptoms. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## ...remains in your bloodstream no longer than 20 hours. You may be experiencing other issues that your body has not experienced. Emergency room...No. Possibly a corner Minor...

My doctor gave me Morphine Sulfate ER 30 mg tablets and said they would last longer for pain than what I was taking, which was Oxycodone 10/325. The Morphine pills don't seem to last that long for me. What should I tell my doctor to prescribe me? Right now I take 2 of the Oxycodone and 2 of the Morphine a day. Before I was taking 5 of the Oxycodone a day and it just wasn't getting me through the day. I just had my 2nd surgery, 1 on my neck and 1 just recently in my lower back. In a lot of pain in my shoulders now from I guess the neck surgery and am going back to work soon but I need to know what to tell my doctor - what kind of pain medication might work better or at least suggest something to him. I have been doing research. Can you help me please? ## Hello, Robert! How are yo...

I was getting watson 5-325 oxycodone from a pharmacy that my health insurance recently dropped from my coverage. The other pharmacies in my area do not carry the watson brand. I've tried 3 different pharmacies 3 different manufacturers and none seem to work as well as the watsons. I'm down to my last pharmacy which carries endocet brand of the oxycodone I need. Has anyone had any experience with the endocet? or any helpful advice for me? Thanks in advance... ## Have you tried asking the pharmacies if they can order the one manufactured by Watson in for you? Most of them can do so, but you would be responsible for the price difference between their usual generic and what the one from Watson costs. The Endocet, however, may work well, because it is a brand name manufactured by End...

How long does feeling last he took one and 5 325 oxcodone his arms here but the not the feel he took at 6pm ## Hi Connie, It's a little difficult to understand the entirety of your post due to grammatical errors, but immediate release oxycodone has an estimated half-life of 4 hours - At which point only 2.5mg out of the 5mg would still be active. I believe this is why typical adult dosing charts suggest taking 1 tablet every 4-6 hours as needed for around the clock pain relief. 5mgs is also the smallest available dosage of oxycodone (at least to my knowledge) - So you could always talk with your doctor about going up to 7.5mg or 10mg if the 5mg isn't sufficient. I hope this helps!

Hi, I've never looked for help on the internet regarding my medication, but I'm at a loss. I'm a 46-year-old, healthy, strong and fit female. Three years ago I was pushed from the top of a 4-story building, falling 80 feet. Subsequently, I still suffer from severe, chronic back pain. I take Oxycodone 10/325 every 4 to 6 hours to help manage my pain. When I last filled my prescription, 3 days ago, I noted that I am getting zero relief. I never take more than one pill in a four hour period. But that first day I took 4 pills within 6 hours and still didn't have relief. I called the pharmacy to see if the manufacturer had changed and she informed me that it had not. In fact I looked at the pills and they looked identical to the pills I got the month before. I don't think...

I broke my foot and I'm in severe pain. What I have is called a lisfranc fracture. I was on Tylenol threes and they didn't help and then I got hydrocodone 5 - 3 - 5 and they didn't help the last thing I tried was Oxycodone 5 325 and they still didn't really take the pain away. So I asked my doctor for something that would help the pain and he prescribed me Tramadol 50 mg. I am apprehensive to get it filled and try it because I'm not reading anything positive about it. Please help! What is the next thing I should ask for if Oxycodone 5 325 isn't helping with my pain? I don't like that it has so much Tylenol in it I would rather have something just for the pain that doesn't include Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Please advise if you can. thank you! ## While being a ...

I seem to be having the same issue as some in this forum. I had been on another brand until this refill & well this Rhodes brand doesn't seem as effective. One of the main reasons I'm here, I thought it odd that I wasn't getting the same relief as the other brand. I'm going to contact my pharmacy and see if they can do anything, I may call my PM doctor as well to see if they have any suggestions. ## The last two months have been hard on me since Rite aid switched from really good working oxycodone 10/325 to this RHODES pharmacy GARBAGE and it’s not only that but all my meds aren’t working like they used to. I loved my old ones (oblong) Easily cut/snap in half. With this maker of these meds my eyes burn and water, nose constantly runs and I’m in so m...

I have been using Hydrocodon-Acet 5/325 AMN (or AMNEA) since surgery about 6 years ago. I don't take it as a regular med although for a month in the Re-hab I was given it at least once a day as a sleep aid. At home I took it as a pain reliever only when needed and lately I have been in need of sleep and take one at bed-time about twice a week. Now it is being treated as a narcotic and I am worried about it. I haven't seen the surgeon who did the last surgery since he saw me about 3 months after and he wanted to see me one more time. Unfortunately I could not get any more transportation to see him and so I cancelled. That was about 7 months ago. At that time I was sleeping better. Now I can't get any more of the Hydrocodone without his approval. I haven't asked my GP to d...

I have been on Oxycodone for the last bunch of years for a work related back injury.I had been receiving the 5 m.g/325 tecs, but last time they refilled my prescription,I was given a smaller APO on one side and 5 with a line underneath it than 325 under that on the other side. They are quite smaller than the Tecs, they don't feel like they are controlling my pain when needed, like the Tecs did.I live in Canada,I just feel like these are a placebo and there trying to get me off the Oxycodones. Are these pills real,I don't receive any relief. ## Have they not helped, at all? Or do they just not provide as much relief as the others did? They contain 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, su...

Hi everyone/anyone...I was told that the round white oxycodone 10/325 made by mylan with a National Drug Code of 00378710601 (the only one that worked for me)..was not being made/suppled anymore... ## Yes it is. I got it a few mos ago after Surgery ## Hi Church lady, I'm looking at the timing of the original post when Wanda stated that it was not being made/supplied anymore, and it just so happens that July is only a few months away from October (the timing of your post when you said you "got it a few months ago"). So my guess is that you may have got the last of it around the same time frame Wanda posted this thread. It's the only logical conclusion I could come to. Just wanted to help add some closure to this reasoning. Has anyone else out there managed to find a worki...

Did this manufacturer raise the price of this medicine in the last 4 weeks? I am not insured. I have been on this med long term. For the last 2 yrs I paid 96.?? for 180 pills, about 3 mos. ago the price went down to 81.?? I just went to get them today and the price was 223.24 for 180 pills the same amount I have always gotten. The store said it was the manufacturer raising the price. I can't afford more than 200.00 I could barely pay the Dr. and 80.00 for my script. How do I find out if the manufacturer actually raised the price or if the store is feeding me a line of crap? Any help would be great! Thank you! ## hi I'm not sure exactly if they raised the price or not. I won't be surprised if they did since they have newly established FDA narcotic regulations. I am uninsured ...

I used to take half an Oxycodone 5/500 as needed for cervical for neck pain and it worked fine. Last night I took a whole dose for the first time because of sever stomach pain from vomiting all day. I may have eaten something bad the day before but there was nothing more in my stomach and the pain kept me awake (but I was exhausted from the ordeal). My refill is Endocet 5-325. I guess I had an allergic reaction because my feet started burning in the middle of the night and I was going insane. I iced them in a pan of cold water and ice for as long as I could (30 seconds in/30 seconds out) until I finally felt numb and fell asleep. Woke up late afternoon to the burning itch in my feet - worse than before - and burning, itching palms as well. It was too late to go to my doctor or urgent ca...

I recently got my prescription filled and discovered that my generic Watsons changed to actavis. They are horrible!! They don't work even close to Watsons! Im in pain because they don't work as well. Im very disappointed and will be finding a different pharmacy!!!! ## Hello, Bthcal! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you've had. Many people have actually complained about this one. What I'd suggest is reporting the issue to the FDA, you can reach them at 888-463-6332. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've been on watson oxy/apap 10/325 for years, and they have always worked wonderfully. last month it was changed to actavis and it feels as if i'm taking HALF THE DOSE! it's HORRIBLE, and not only does it NOT work, it looks just like...

OXYCODONE/APAP 5/325MG TAB and MORPHINE 15MG ER TAB (MALL-8315) but I have been on this same very medication for years on and off but for the last year and a half straight and it is no longer working how they should. How do I ask my doctor to raise the dosage without her thinking i'm an addict or something ## You should just honestly tell her that you've been taking them as prescribed, but are having more pain than usual. It is perfectly normal for your body to get used to the dosage you're taking of any medication that you've been taking for a long time and for it to no longer work as well. Any good doctor should be well aware of this and should expect it to eventually happen. Learn more Percocet details here. Learn more Morphine details here. Is there anything else I c...

Was on Norco 10-325 on and off for a few years due to back problems. Had l4/l5 Laminectomy and was sent home with 5mg oxicodone. It's been 16 days since surgery and I tapered down from 2.5 yesterday. Last one last night at 10 pm. Withdrawals kicked in at 2:30 pm today! Not too bad. But the abdominal pain is bad when the immodium wears off. How long will this last and will it get better or worse physically tomorrow and the next day? No RLS yet. Is it comming???? I want to be done! ## Just wondering how your withdrawal experience went? I weaned the exact same way Im down to 2.5 mg tomorrow for two days then Im done. I have disc issues from L1 to L5 and I was on Oxycodone for 1 1/2 years starting at 5/325 4x's a day and ended @ 30mg 6x's aday so I decided to get off the Oxycodone with Suboxone, started @ 8mg Suboxone 2x's a day then tapered to .25.g Suboxone 1x a day over a 5 mos period, here's the problem in the 5 mos period since I wasn't on pain meds my pain came back full force and I started taking the Oxycodone 10mg 6x's a day for the last week, so I wanted to know if I was to stop taking the Oxycodone would I still go into withdrawal as though I had never stopped, the proiblem is in the last 5 months I lost my job and Medical insurance and I can't afford the Suboxones (oxycodone is a lot cheaper when prescribed than Suboxone ) I need an operation so in the mean whil...

I had a total knee replacement done last Monday. When released on Thursday, I was prescribed with Oxycodone Acetaminophen 5 325 as a pain killer in time of need. I needed a little yesterday--I really haven't had that much pain before, even in the hospital, but I guess I pushed myself a little too much, so I took one of my capsules. I awoke in the night because the pain I was feeling was 10 times worse than anything I'd been through since surgery. I took another and the pain increased. What would cause this? I have used only three of the fifty prescribed, so I don't think I could be already addicted. I'm a 59 yar old female, with a moderate HBP and diabetes, both more or less controlled. My health is otherwise good. ## Addiction wouldn't cause worsening of the pain, t...

I survived a compression fracture @C5 and then two more medically necessary (surgically induced) fracture/repairs @C5. I walked away after all of that. In 1998 my spinal cord attached to C5 and the repair work has been scratching into the cord ever since. Prescribed Oxycodone Acetaminophen 5-325mg and carefully monitored ever since I am now at 6 pills a day and have held that level for the last 5 years or so. This month my prescription changed to OA 5-3. It is a smaller pill so I am guessing it is 300 mg rather than 325. Is my guess correct? I am in agony from the forced reduction. What else can I take -- in addition to the prescribed oxy -- to compensate for the reduction of the pain med. Something that won't kill me. I tried Tylenol as a substitute but had to give it up once I was...

Want to stop taking this med: oxycodone/acetaminophen 2.5-325 for two years. ## Hello, Bud! How are you? How many have you been taking each day? A slow taper is usually best, your doctor can help you set up a tapering schedule. However, you may still experience some withdrawal symptoms, which may include nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, fever, chills and rebound pain as listed by the FDA. ## My sister has been on Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 2.5 mg once a day for about three years. How long would her withdrawal last? ## On 2.5mg for years, no withdrawals for me after stopping without tapering.
