I was prescribed Tizanidine 4 mg and took 30 within a 4 week span. How long would this amount take to get out of my body? Any info appreciated! ## Hello, Beezer! How are you? The FDA classifies Tizanidine as a muscle relaxant, so there is no reason to worry about being on it. It is not addictive or habit forming. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Did you have a bad reaction to it? ## I had an awful reaction to this drug. Combined with my blood pressure medicine (Bystolic) I took one of the Tizandine in the evening - have fibromyalgia and restless leg syndrome. May husband found me passed out in the bathroom with blood flowing from my head. Evidently I passed out when I went into the bathroom during the night. I have a huge scar on m...

How long does it take zanaflex to get completely out of your system? ## How long does it take for 1mg zanaflex to leave the system for UA? I might have one on Monday. ## @Terrar , Based on my research, zanaflex (tizanidine) may take anywhere from 3 to 5 days to get completely out of your system. This isn't counting your hair follicles though, which they say can take up to 90 days. I also read that even though tizanidine has a short half life of 2.5 hours, its metabolites have a significantly longer half life ranging from 20 to 40 hours; making a single dose last as long as 80 to 90 hours in your system. @Shelby (post #1): With regards to a drug panel, my understanding is that because this medication is not a controlled substance, it's likely that it wont even be checked for in a...

I've been experiencing severe pain on the entire left side of my mouth, specifically intensifying around the bottom back tooth on the left side. I'm curious if anyone has tried using Tizanidine for managing tooth pain and would appreciate hearing about your experiences or any advice on this approach? ## Hello, Tissua! Tizanidine is in a class of medications called skeletal muscle relaxants and is used to treat the types of pain associated with strains, sprains and spasms. It works by slowing action in the brain and nervous system to allow the muscles to relax. That said, Tizanidine is not indicated for use in managing pain related to toothaches. Ref: MedlinePlus It would probably be best to see your dentist for an appropriate medication and treatment to help alleviate the root c...

I have been on Fentanyl 100mcg/hr, In vivo delivery of 100mcg/hr for 72 hours and I change them every 2 days instead of every 3 days so the amount of medication doesn't drop too low. Does one need to be hospitalized & under a doctors care? There are also other drugs involved- Hydromorphone 8mg,2 every 4 hrs,Tizanidine 4mg 2/4 times daily,& Baclofen 10 mg 1 twice a day. ## Ask your doctor about Suboxone. it is a truly miracle pill. you will have absolutely no problem at all going through withdrawal, i personally know for a fact that suboxin will supress all symptoms and will keep you energized, like youve neve...
