I have chronic pain and take 7.5/500 the usually takes 1-1.5 hours to work ## @Chris, This greatly depends on the person taking the medication. Some people start to feel relief in 20 minutes and some people do not feel it until 2 hours have passed. There are many factors at work here. It can also depend on whether or not you have taken the medication before, how much you have taken before, whether you took them on an empty stomach or not, what your personal metabolism is, if there were other medications taken with it or recently, etc. I think the "average" time is given as 30 minutes to one hour for it to kick in. However if your pain is really that severe, I wonder if the medication's effects would eventually reach a plateau due to an increased tolerance. I'd also take ...

how long do hydrocodone side effects last? I had gotten hurt by my horse and was in really bad pain, I took a hydrocodone I had left over from the year before when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. Shortly after taking the pill I became dizzy and nauseated. When I stood up and attempted to move I would feel the need to vomit. This lasted from 2:30 in the afternoon until noon the following day. Is there any way hydrocodone could have caused all of this continuing to the next day? ## It certainly can, especially if you're sensitive to it and it sounds like that may be the case with you. Hydrocodone is a narcotic analgesic, so it can affect some people that way and likely means you should avoid it in the future, since there are other options you can take that may not affect you so sever...

Tapering off of them, rather than stopping cold turkey would best and should help to minimize the withdrawal symptoms. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you set up an appropriate tapering schedule. I can't really give you a definitive time frame for how long they will last, a lot of it depends on your body and how it reacts, but usually it takes a week or two. ## Just started subs 8m.g 2m.g...six days ago...I had a tooth pulled and now have dry socket...how long will the subs remain in my system? ## The last 4days I have took 5to 6 hydrocodone 10/325 a day yesterday I didn't and today I didn't but I still feel light headed and flirting in my ches...

how many minutes does it take to start feeling the effects of an oral dose of hydrocodone? ## Since Hydrocodone, even when coupled with Acetaminophen, is only available as a regular release formulation, it can take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working, after you take it. It can vary a little, but that's generally the rough amount of time for it to start being broken down by your stomach acid and enter your blood stream. It can be a little sooner if you take it on an empty stomach or a little longer if you take it with a meal. It can cause some pretty bad nausea, as a side effect, so it's usually best to make sure to take this one after eating. You may also experience drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. I am recovering from surgery and I have found that the little solid white hydrocodone 5/325's make my skin itch and burn horribly and also make me feel wired like I had 5 pots of coffee. The brands with the little red or blue specks, as well as the ones with the peach color (Norco I believe) do not have any of these side effects for me. The pharmacist doesn't believe me because she says it's all the same drug but there is a DRASTIC difference for me. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what is the cause? ## Hello, Jill! How are you? There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one generic to another. They are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients. For most people, since these d...

I took 4 & 1/2 Hydrocodone 10/325s about 12 hours ago. Can I take 5 tramadol now ## Hello, Fly! How are you? You are taking far too many of these tablets, at once. Especially the Hydrocodone with the Acetaminophen, no single dosing of that should exceed 1,000mgs. How many have you been instructed to take, per dose, by your doctor? Both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Keep in mind that it is very rare for someone to overdose on Tramadol alone, but Tramadol in combination with other drugs can be very dangerous and lead to death. ## Yes, what Dan said is correct, but that's in respect to any mediation, not just Tramadol. Most overdoses, especially fatal ones,...

can I take a zanax with a 10/325 hhdrocodone ## Dorothy yes it may just make you really sleepy ## @Dorothy (original poster), Based on my research involving drug interactions, I actually wouldn't recommend having Hydrocodone with Xanax. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, "it may just make you really sleepy" is a large understatement by post #1. Apparently using the two together can also increase your risk of certain side effects including but not limited to slurred speech, confusion, dizziness, slow/shallow breathing, and impaired cognitive function. Better to play it safe and let your doctor decide what might be best!
