I have been feeling a lot of bloating, gas/acid reflux. Not really sure if it has something to do with my diet. I used the eat the usual food I take healthy and fast food. Then one day, the stomach attack I experienced was not bearable so I had to go to my gastroenterologist. I was given PPI's to somehow help with the pain and was advised that if I still feel something after taking it for a week, I'll be scheduled for a colonoscopy. I was also told to have a strict diet. So to make the long story short, everything went well after a week so I when I gave my doctor another visit, luckily I didn't go through colonoscopy. Was given the same advise but this time without PPI's. I was also advised to take enzymes. I'm taking digestive enzymes from Natural Goal for about a mont

Lactase is essential to the complete digestion of whole milk; it breaks down lactose, a sugar which gives milk its sweetness. Lacking lactase, a person consuming dairy products may experience the symptoms of lactose intolerance.[1] Lactase can be purchased as a food supplement, and is added to milk to produce "lactose-free" milk products. My gastroparesis causes right sided pain that can get very severe? Doctors don't want to give pain mess because it slows things down. Well I can treat the constipation I don't want to live in pain. What do other gp patients do ## @docchrid, Have the doctors been able to determine what caused the gastroparesis to begin with? I've read that one risk factor is from having diabetes, and wonder if at any point you were diagnosed with that as well? In either case, perhaps the idea of supplementing daily with digestive enzymes/probiotics and eating more fresh raw fruits/vegetables could improve your intestinal motility enough to metabolize food more efficiently (i.e. less work for your stomach muscles). - And in that respect, a strict regimen involving this may also help counter an...

Does Aminosyn 3.5% sulfite free effectively replace food nutrition? ## This is just a crystalline amino acid solution with electrolytes; nothing more. I study in the field of nutrition and don't believe any supplement can compare to whole food nutrition; especially fresh fruits and vegetables. It is important to know that ALL whole foods contain amino acids in various quantities. The problem with supplements is that these certain nutrients are extracted from their whole food form and you are left without all the other enzymes, vitamins and minerals in that food that aid in digestion and also help other bodily functions as opposed to just doing one thing. Think of it as having a really souped up BMW and none of the special features work except being able to drive it. It is also impor...
