How Long Does Hydrocodone

I have chronic pain and take 7.5/500 the usually takes 1-1.5 hours to work ## @Chris, This greatly depends on the person taking the medication. Some people start to feel relief in 20 minutes and some people do not feel it until 2 hours have passed. There are many factors at work here. It can also depend on whether or not you have taken the medication before, how much you have taken before, whether you took them on an empty stomach or not, what your personal metabolism is, if there were other medications taken with it or recently, etc. I think the "average" time is given as 30 minutes to one hour for it to kick in. However if your pain is really that severe, I wonder if the medication's effects would eventually reach a plateau due to an increased tolerance. I'd also take ...

how long do hydrocodone side effects last? I had gotten hurt by my horse and was in really bad pain, I took a hydrocodone I had left over from the year before when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. Shortly after taking the pill I became dizzy and nauseated. When I stood up and attempted to move I would feel the need to vomit. This lasted from 2:30 in the afternoon until noon the following day. Is there any way hydrocodone could have caused all of this continuing to the next day? ## It certainly can, especially if you're sensitive to it and it sounds like that may be the case with you. Hydrocodone is a narcotic analgesic, so it can affect some people that way and likely means you should avoid it in the future, since there are other options you can take that may not affect you so sever...

I took 120 mg of hydrocodone on a Sat. around 6pm at one time I took 50 mg of hydrocodone the following sunday morning (i.e.next day) at one time I took 90 mg of hydrocodone following tuesday at around lunch at one time I took 37.5 mg of hydrocodone same tuesday night at the same time. How long will this stay in my body which = 297.5 mg over the 4 day period? ## So to measure the time it would take your body to metabolize the hydrocodone, you'd want to go mostly off when your final dose was. Hydrocodone on average has an elimination half life of just under 4 hours, which means that within 18 hours or so, it should be metabolized completely. That being said, measuring hydrocodone levels in the body is a different matter. Levels can reside in your body for up to 10 days if the individ...

Hydrocodone (Dihydrocodeinone) is an opioid used to treat pain and as a cough suppressant.[9] It is taken by mouth.[9] Typically it is dispensed as the combination acetaminophen/hydrocodone or ibuprofen/hydrocodone for pain severe enough to require an opioid[10][11] and in combination with homatropine methylbromide to relieve cough.[9] It is also available by itself in a long-acting form under the brand name Zohyd...

My friend gave me hydrocodone from1992.. Am I going to be ok ## Hello, Steph! How are you? If it's tablets, they don't get dangerous once expired, they just loses effectiveness. The best thing to do would be to dispose of them, however, if you did take any, they may not relieve your pain much and could cause some nausea and dizziness, but that's about it. It's never a good idea, though, to take any medication that hasn't been prescribed for you and it is also illegal to share medications in this manner. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## When does Augmentin (pill)...

Is pink oblong lortab available anywhere? With a prescription, of course. My pharmacy quit carrying them after the recall and they're the ones that helped my pain the best. ## Do you happen to remember who manufactures it, or what the markings are on the tablets you're looking for? Learn more Lortab details here. That information would most likely help you to get more answers, since just saying the color and shape isn't very specific. Your general location would also help, since this site is open to users all over the world, so some available in London aren't going to mean much to you, if you're in LA.

I took a hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325mg at 9:00 pm last night. How long would it still be in my body for? ## Hello, Pat! How are you? The FDA lists it as having a half-life of about 3.8 hours, it takes 5 to 6 half-lives for full elimination, so that would be about 19 to 22.8 hours. The medication is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It should start relieving pain within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it. If it isn't working for you, your doctor should be informed as they may need to prescribe an alternative medication. I have been on hydrocodone 10mg since January 2016 due to chronic migraines and a pinched nerve in my neck. This last month the medicine has not worked at all. I haven't been to work in two weeks because I'm in SO MUCH PAIN! I guess my question is what should I do? And say to my PM Dr.? ## What are the markings on it? Did you receive a different generic than usual? If not, then your body may already be tolerant to it and you should inform your doctor. However, be careful not to ask for any specific medication, or dosage, as an alternative, as they may view that as being drug seeking behavior. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Does anyone else ...

How long is a 10/325 tab active for inhibiting pain. VA Cutting back amounts is there anything to use with it or in place of for degenerative arthritis in neck, upper &lower spine, hips & wrists? ## It's been a while since I've ever had to take hydrocodone, but I think the answer to your first question may also depend on each individuals tolerance to the medication as well as their personal level of pain. Based on the 'usual adult dosing schedule' of 1 tab every 4-6 hours, the effects will probably begin to diminish at or around that time frame. As far as adjunctive therapy goes, I would recommend looking into various natural anti-inflammatory herbs, such as: Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon, Garlic, & Cayenne, to name a few. I hope this helps!

I have been on hydrocodone for five years 10 mg for what started out for back pain. The time has come for me to stop since it has become an addiction. I will be out Friday 05/11/2012 and will begin to detox myself @ home. just wanting to know how long they take to get out of your system, and things to do to help while going through the with drawl process. ## While I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I have read that it could be in your system for about a week or so (depending on a number of factors). Usually for drugs like this, I think the safest way to stop taking them is to taper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of seve...

WHITE OBLONG WITH THE LETTER V ON ONE SIDE AND THE NUMBERS 3536 ON THE OTHER ## Is there a possibility that it says 3596 instead of 3536? If so, then it would be hydrocodone 7.5mg and acetaminophen 750mg. This is a narcotic pain reliever by the name of Vicodin. It is highly addictive and can cause constipation, lightheadedness, marked drowsiness, euphoria. If the tablet really says 3536 then I am unable to find it at this time.

i stopped taking THC for 50 days, but it is showing up in my lab work. Does hydrocodone have HTC in it? ## It is THC and no hydrocodone doesn't contain THC. ## THC -- stays in the fatty tissue for a long time. if you have been taking cannabis for a extended period you can expect it to slowly bleed out till its undetectable . Also, if you chip it will extend that period even longer. you need to stay clear of it completely till it doesn't remain in your body anymore. So im told ;) ## @shaybo, In my experience, Roxi is right about THC and how it can remain in the fatty tissue for a long time. As to exactly how long, I'm not quite sure. However, typically, the only type of analysis that would discover it that far after consumption is a hair follicle diagnostic, which they say go...

blue oblong a\p 110 hydrocodone ## No, this is not a Hydrocodone tablet, nor does it contain any type of narcotic. This is a Cephadyn tablet, it contains 650mgs of Acetaminophen and 50mgs of Butalbital, this medication is mainly used to relieve migraines and tension headaches. You can learn more Acetaminophen details here and you can learn more Butalbital details here. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and headache. There is a request out by the FDA to lower the amount of Acetaminophen in combination prescription medications to only 325mgs, but so far, the listing does not include anything other than the narcotic combinations, however, that may change. I'm just posting this here so everyone is aware that it may change, at some point. Are there any questions or c...

L484 white oblong. I may have mixed up Tylenol and hydrocodone in the same bottle ## Hi, Kathy! How are you? The tablet with the L 484 marking contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen, so it's a generic or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. In the future, it would probably be best to leave them in their appropriate bottles, to avoid possibly dangerous mix-ups. Is there anything else I can help with?

my doctor gave me a prescription for norcos 10's. when I went to the pharmacy they gave me a yellow oblong pill with 170 on one side and nothing on the other. They told me it was norco 10. did they make a mistake ## If it has 170 on it, is oblong & yellow it is Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. It does not have Hydrocodone 10 mg in it. Instead it has Hydrocodone 7.5 mg. ## The identification provided is correct. NDC: 57664-0170 The FDA wants that Norco carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Iv took pain for years.now i want quit how long does the side effects last? ## Hello, Dave! How are you? Tapering off of them, rather than stopping cold turkey would best and should help to minimize the withdrawal symptoms. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you set up an appropriate tapering schedule. I can't really give you a definitive time frame for how long they will last, a lot of it depends on your body and how it reacts, but usually it takes a week or two. ## Just started subs 8m.g 2m.g...six days ago...I had a tooth pulled and now have dry socket...how long will the subs remain in my system? ## The last 4days I have took 5to 6 hydrocodone 10/325 a day yesterday I didn't and today I didn't but I still feel light headed and flirting in my ches...
