Help!ihad at sqaamuse cancer removed yesterday the pain is terrible a day later when does the pain rx take to work.? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. It should start relieving pain within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it. If it isn't working for you, your doctor should be informed as they may need to prescribe an alternative medication. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## For me...the 5/325 will does nothing....i take 2 10/325 every 6 hours 8 tabs a day...but it all depends on ur metabolism as to how fast it will get into your system and if you take...

this dose was prescribed by my pain Dr for ra. I do not tolerate any of the oxy drugslike Percocet I hallucinate. theprescribed dose of hydrocodone is not cutting the pain. it's ok to take another if I'm still in pain after one hour? ## If your meds aren't working, talk to the pharmacy first. Ask if they changed manufacturer? Keep a ear out for aurobindo or aurolife.... They seem to be defective....but I won't know till I get independent lab work done. 2nd, call your doc..hell email if you have to, but please! Don't ever go against what's prescribed to you! Its not such a hot idea. Good luck! :-) ## I agree with what post #1 had suggested in regards to contacting the pharmacy as well as your doctor first. There are a number of different manufacturers of this medi...

I have been taking norco 10/325 yellow oval pill for a few years but yesterday what I got was different they were white oblong pills which says hyd/apap 10/325 mg tab amnea on it and the numbers on the tablet are G 037. Are they the same? The norco always worked very well but these white tabs don't seem as strong or work as well. ## Yes, they are the same, the tablet with the G 037 on it has just been manufactured by a different company, in this case Tris Pharma. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How many have you taken, so far?

Please tell me if watson has a white 10/325?? I only had the yellow one's.. Are they real? ## Actually, Watson has recently been removing the dye from many of their tablets, due to people being allergic or sensitive to them. Thus, several of their products are now white. However, if you received it from an approved U.S. pharmacy and it has the same markings, then it is still the correct medication. Learn more Lortab details here. You should be aware, however, that there have also been reports from some that they don't seem to work the same and aren't as effective. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes they are white now. I just had to call the pharmacy to make sure I was given the right prescription. ## JG are they working fine for you? I have my white now, and I do...

I've been taking Watson 5-325 hydrocodone from Walgreens for years for back pain. I am disabled, have scoliosis and two bad car accidents caused the need. 3 months ago Walgreens changed to this new Actavis brand. It isn't working! Until I read this, I thought I would have to increase my dosage. Also for the past 3 months I've had sore throat and pain in sinuses and ears. I thought I had overdone my Flonase and have gone through 2 rounds of antibiotics without relief. When I read about the mother's ears ringing and nausea, I put this together. Thank you so much! I scheduled another appointment today for next week about this. Hopefully a new scrip will solve both issues. I went to CVS today and found out they have qualitest brand hydrocodone. ## @Brat Cat, You're defin...

Hi, I was prescribed hydrocodone 5-325 for stomach pain, when I was seen in the emergency room for gastritis, but I don't understand why, if one of the side effects is nausea. I also have had problems eating and bleeding from my rectum. ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? That is a possible side effect, as listed by the FDA, not everyone experiences nausea. It varies from person to person. You may also experience dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. I've also had gastritis and was prescribed Oxycodone for awhile, it worked very well to help relieve the pain. Have you tried taking it, yet? ## I have severe gastritis and a lot of pain in my leg can I take hydrocodone for the pain? ## I currently take the hydrocodone 5/325 for my Crohn's and I am looking for an alternativ...

I had a total shoulder replacement and my doctor gave me Percocet to go home with. They immediately took the pain away for about 4-5 hours. Now she has given me Vicodin 5/325 and they are not working, not even 2 at a time. Why don't they work for me but the Percocet does? How do I tell my doctor they are not working without her thinking I just want Percocet? ## just tell your doctor.i'm having the same problem with my new doctor.and start looking for another doctor without telling anyone just in case.your in my prayers ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, while this contains a different narcotic, Hydrocodone. Learn more Percocet details here. Learn more Vicodin details here. And not every medication works for everyone that takes it, your doctor is aware of that and ...

My husband has 2 hernia, and severe hip pain. Could be pain from 2 groin hernias make him so painful. Has hydrocodone 5 325. Can he take naperxon 500 with it. ## yes he can tell him he can eat a snack with it to prevent stomach upset ## Hi Sammy, I just wanted to add from my own experience that I too have taken this combination of meds in the not so distant past, after a nose surgery. I don't recall having any issues at that time, other than typical (minor) side effects such as nausea and dizziness that is commonly associated with many medications. However I understand that everyone reacts/responds differently and that trial and error is something we all must undergo at some point in order to find out what works best. Hopefully the addition of naproxen will help. If not, maybe his d...

The company Aurobindo hydrocodone/apap 10-325 has U03 on it does not work its as though the meds are fake. don't know for sure but I have never had problems with my meds working until my pharmacy changed to this companyAurobindo ## Hello, Linda! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor? They may need to prescribe an alternative medication, in the meantime. ## Same here! Just got these same bunk meds myself, a couple weeks ago, worthless! Never had trouble with my previous norco, but the ones by aurobindo are terrible, do nothing ...

Amneal manufactured, Hydrcodone- Apap 5-325 doesn't work as well as V 3604 or Watson 349. Any idea why? ## Hi Jane, I think I can help answer your question here. One of the primary factors that doesn't seem to be well known to the public, is that the FDA allows active ingredients in generic meds to vary by as much as 25% from the actual listed dosage. This could potentially mean that a 5mg hydrocodone may actually turn out to be 3 to 7 mgs depending on the manufacturer. Aside from that, subtle differences in the "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers) could also impact the absorption/overall efficacy of the medication. Put two and two together and you pretty much have a different medication than what you may be used to taking. I hope this info helps! Have you tried any ...

Is this pill consider Norco and dose it work as good as the Watson? ## Hi JoAnn, To answer your first question, Hydrocodone bitartrate + APAP is a generic for brand name Norco. The APAP is simply an abbreviation for Acetaminophen. In terms of how it compares to the Watson (Actavis) formula, this is something that can only be determined by you since everyone is affected different by the same medication(s). Not only that, but you didn't actually list what manufacturer makes your pill, so there is no feasible way to compare it to another manufacturer?

Ok, I am taking 4 and a 1/2 a day and have been on them for about 2 months now. My question is: They don't seem to be working like they were before, but I don't want to be addicted or maybe I already am and that's why they don't seem to help the pain as they did before? So is the mall at the end just the maker, distributer? ## Hello, Judi! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. The mall stands for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, they're the manufacturer. You will also likely be relieved to know that you don't have to be addicted to develop tolerance to a medication. That happens to everyone with any medication they take for a long period of time, your body just gets used to it and it stops working as well as it did. Sometimes it takes years fo...

why has the price increased from my cost $17.00 to $44.00, is this price gouging ? ## Hello, Norm! How are you? And no, it is simply due to supply and demand. Since the dosages with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen have been removed from the market, there is more of a demand for the doses with the 325mgs in them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hello. How long would one 10/325 vicodin work in my body before being excreted? I weigh 125 lbs

Are they still making the round white Watson 10-325? After being on them for yrs for pain for my back all of a sudden the pharmacy changes to another that's A333. Not working nearly as well. But was also told that Watson was bought out. Unfortunately I'm one of those people that can't cant generics, & have the perfect formula for my medication til they just threw a wrench in it. Now I'm lost & not sure where to go or what 2 do. Any advise? ## No, that generic is also not being manufactured. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The best suggestion I can make is that you speak to your doctor about trying an alternative medication. Does...

I recently moved to a very small town and when I transferred my prescriptions to the small chain pharmacy my norcos are now a oval white pill with a score on one side and a U03 on other. They work just as good but I'm curious as to why there diffrent or who makes them? I find very little info on them using google. Any one have any info to share? This is like a mom and pop very small town pharacy and i basically just want toake sure there not making these themselves or something. Pharmacy says other same as my yellow norcos just diffrent supplier ## Hello, Davod! How are you? No, they aren't making these themselves. I had been taking hydro 325 7.5 and diazepam for a number of years now for arthritis in my back and neck, tendonitis, nerve pain, degenerative muscle disease in shoulders and it worked pretty good for me. I was given Tylenol3 and flexerel which didn't help at all but now she wants to give me hydro 5 325 alone which does nothing. Although nothing completely stops the pain could you suggest something that i could talk with my doctor about that could possibly help everything?

i take oxycodone 10/325 3x day, oxy 12 extended 2x day, and a few other meds. I hate so many meds. Pain is still in effect some days better , or worse. My question is how harmful are these to my body? Diluadid works better with less to take. honest which is worse? Some days I rather hurt than take it all. ## None is worse or more harmful than another, they are all opiate narcotics, as classified by the FDA, so they carry the possibility of causing the same risks, the same side effects; such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation, and all also carry the risk of being habit forming. The amount of harm, of course, depends on whether or not you abuse them, or take them as prescribed, unless you're allergic to one of them and suffer a bad reaction from that, as detai...

I'm presently taking Hydroco/APAP 7.5/325 which are white with 1P115 stamped on it. I was previously taking hydrocodone which were peach colored. With the white ones they are not as strong. I have to take two to get relief from chronic pain. With the peach colored ones I could take one and worked fine. Why would they be different if suppose to be same thing? Confused? ## Mine is different....I am also trying to figure out why the peach 750/325 are not working as well as the White!!! Could the peach ones be old? ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients, this was done to help bring generics to market fast and help create market competition to try to keep prices lower...

What medication has your doctor recommended?

Is it really norco? I just got my refill today and they are not working as well as my previous prescription. ## Hi Yaya, My research from the manufacturer depicts a white oval tablet marked with 2172 to be identified as a generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg pill. For verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 0591-2172 and is reportedly a product of Actavis Pharmaceuticals that from what I could gather, seems like a newer generic tablet since information about it is relatively sparse on the internet. Hope this helps! ## I have the exact same problem ! The ones with the 2172 do not work the same as the 3604 did . How is this even possible ? Or is it. Are they exactly the same ?
